[android-developers] Re: Android Device Seeding Program - Differences in phone for developers?
Google has special developer versions of some phones. I have the ADP1, and it's got a cool print on the back of the case. Granted, that was advertised as a developer phone, and pictures and information on the web showed it was different, but I wondered if developers would get something special again. I only ask because I bought a Nexus One on eBay hours before I got the email from Google about the free phone. If the one from Google is different, I'll sell the one I have here, still in the box, and wait for the one from Google. But if they're the same, I might as well open this one, and sell the one from Google when I get it. Waiting is not easy. :) On Mar 9, 8:52 am, Kaj Bjurman wrote: > Is there a reason to why you expect it to be different from the one > that you can order? > > On 9 mar, 13:19, nickthecook wrote: > > > > > Does anyone know if the Nexus One that Google is sending developers as > > part of the Device Seeding Program is different from the ones people > > get when they order them from Google's website? > > > Different packaging? [android-developers] Re: Android Device Seeding Program - Differences in phone for developers?
I'd be suprised if it didn't have some kind of "Device Seeding" inscription on the back of the Nexus, but apart from that it's in their interest to make it no different to the device the paying public can buy. Is there a reason to why you expect it to be different from the one that you can order? [android-developers] Re: Android Device Seeding Program - Differences in phone for developers?
Why? I visited a Google Technology Usergroup meeting where Google handed out Nexus phones to all visitors, and they were identical to the one that I had ordered from their online store.
