OK, browser problem solved with cmnet, you dont need to enter any proxy details as suggested above. So does anyone know why cmwap does not get a data connection with the G1 ? yep, have tired a few different sites, with no luck. basically the browser just does not get anywhere, it looks like its found the page and is loading it, but nothing, the loading bar never moves. I got the same problem in China with my Dev G1. I'm using the M-Zone Sim card and with the settings below everything works except the browser. name: china mobile apn: cmnet proxy: 10.0.0.172 port:80 username: blank password: blank server: blank mmsc: http://mmsc.monternet.com mms proxy: 10.0.0.172 mms port: 9201 mcc: 460 mnc:02 apn type: default I have not tried sending any mms, but with these setting i can collect and send mail, use maps, see the market but NO browser. when you want to use different APNs for both data and MMS, you need to set the "apn type" field for the system to make a difference between them and use them both. use "apn type=default" for the data APN. and "apn type=mms" for the MMS one.
