financialPortalActivity about, it's not my code. But from here on I can try

Here's the project file, please someone check, the problems are most probably very simple. I'm still stuck with a couple "cannot find symbol variable" errors etc.. Been trying to wrap my head around this half the day, but can't figure out how to make it compile :( Pls if anyone is willing to check, I really appreciate it! Are there quotes around that URL in the source code? Also, is it possible
that you're compiling with a version of the WebView toolkit that does not
take just a single URL as a parameter?
The message "error: ')' expected" makes me think it's just a syntax error
and the way you pasted it has not quotes around the URL. Also,
http://your.url.com should be replaced with a valid url. Try changing the
line to:
mWebView.loadUrl("http://www.google.com";); to see if that works.

Thanks for your input. I have tried all kinds of urls with and without " marks.. I seem to get all kinds of different errors,.. I have even tried different tutorials for a most basic webview app, but I always get errors.
