I'm not sure that's the best metric for success.

I never claimed that you all responding was some kind of success - I think
we can all agree this thread was overall rather pointless (in fact I said so
early on).

I'm simply pointing out the fact that 5 of you now have taken a few minutes
of your time to comment on this thread and that that is so much more than we
can expect regarding actual, legitimate issues concerning the Android
Market.

Yes, I realize none of you work on Market and I'm by no means trying to
group you all with those idiots. So many of you are readily available to
contribute to many threads and it's always appreciated.

It's the fact that there's not even a single individual on the Market end of
things that is willing or able to contribute to even the simplest of issues
that has me so royally peeved.

But whatever. I don't expect any of you to understand. I'm sure things are
nice and cushy being on the inside. But man oh man if you could experience
life as a lowly Android Devlepor for just one week you might start ranting
and bitching as much as I do around here.

Oh you mean a response answering question about Market? As I said there,
nobody from the Market team is on this list, so you shouldn't be surprised

Oh, I think you mean this thread, concerning being banned from the Market:

Of course you are correct - this forum is not about the Market and, as you
posted, questions should go to the Market Support Forum.
Fair enough. So let's take a look over there, shall we?

Here is the same question about the in-app billing not working:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=331d1590e7ae94dbhl=en

And here is the same question about the content policy that you told the OP

http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?fid=6d6cc0380c0b10d500049d3f4f0f3433hl=en

Now let's count the total number of responses from Google. Zero. In fact,
the only response to either question is from yours truly telling the poster
that no one is going to respond to them. Even sadder, my responses are the
best answer. Unfortunately, I continue to be correct.

See, the problem is that people go to the official support forum looking
for help and they get ignored. Then they move over into other
Android-related forums hoping to get answers. Unfortunately, they are either
ignored again or are re-directed back to the appropriate forum where they
were ignored to begin with.

It is *beyond* frustrating.

Understood. I meant no offense to any of you and I'm sure the other two that

not aware of.

My point is simply this: getting actual support or answers for legitimate
issues relating to the Android Market is nigh impossible - regardless of the

Many of those posts are from people that did not realize they were violating
any terms. Some of them are very clear that they don't think they did
anything wrong, don't know why they got pulled, and just want to know the
reason so they can update their apps and not violate anything.

But of course when Google yanks an app, they don't explain *why*.

Maybe you violated terms, or maybe someone on the Market team is having a
bad day and picks an app at random. Who knows.
This is fairly convenient as not providing a reason means Google has nothing
to defend, can yank apps at their whim, and there's nothing anyone can do
about it.
