yes ， If u exce su ,u must be get root permission first

 I try to execute the following code:

  Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(su);
 // blah blah
 }
 catch (Exception e)
 {
  res += ERROR  + e.getMessage() + \n;
 }

 *

 And I get the following exception::

 Error running exec(). Command: [su] Working Directory: null Environment:
 null

 Any reason why?
 Do I need root access on my device?
