This is what I see via minicom:

GRUB loading, please wait...

And then it stops...

Sadly, I can't help with Angstrom on PC, which is why you should always
keep the discussion on the mailing list. That way everyone benefits
and others, more knowledgeable in this area, can help.

Ok. Sorry. How do I find out with git? Am used to SVN and thats different.

There might be simpler ways (git is an enigma), but I use these:

% git branch
% git show HEAD

'cat /etc/angstrom-version' is even easier and can be done on the
buildhost as well.

[Angstrom-devel] networking

2011-03-29 Thread Michael Burghart
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi,

I am new to this list and I hope I do not bother you if I ask some
questions:

First of all I managed to build my Angstrom distro and moved it into CF.
Installed grub. Networking and dropbear are installed.

When booting the device I see that pinging it there is a reaction but
unfortunately I cannot ssh to the device (nor get a ping response).

Anything you know where I might find an answer?
Thanks for your help.

What version (repository branch revision) of OE did you build from?
What's your target hardware?

I presume you can login via a serial console? If so, what do these
commands show?
  # ifconfig
  # cat /proc/net/dev
  # cat /etc/network/interfaces

These data may help to understand what's happening with your network.
Additionally, the boot log messages can help a lot.
