[ansible-project] Ansible Contributor Summit (27 July) - Information and remote participation details

2016-07-22 Thread Robyn Bergeron
Greetings!

In case you haven't heard: The Ansible Contributor Summit will be
happening this coming Wednesday, 27 July, the day before AnsibleFest in San
Francisco. Similar to our last Contributor Summit, we'll be having ways to
listen and collaborate remotely with the folks who are present in San
Francisco.

This email contains all the information you'll need to participate remotely
(or in person!) -- including the schedule, links to where we'll be chatting
/ asking questions on IRC, how to join the video conference, and links to
etherpads for each session for any notes taken. Additionally, there is a
"general" etherpad which lists the whole schedule and many of the details
listed below, which you can take a look at here:
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-general

Schedule & Etherpads for each session:
(Note: All times listed are in PDT (UTC -7). To convert to your time zone,
use http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html)

MAIN TRACK
* 9:00am Breakfast and general discussion
* 9:30am-10:00am: Introductions and Goals -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-general
* 10am-10:50am: The Future of Modules -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-modules
* 11:00-11:50am: The Future of Ansible Core -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-core
* 12:30pm-2:20pm: The Future of Testing/CI -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-testing
* 2:30pm - 3:20pm: Galaxy/Roles Roadmap -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-galaxy

SUB-TRACKS 1+2
* Subtrack 1 -- 3:30pm-4:20pm: Windows Topics -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-windows
* Subtrack 2 -- 3:30pm-4:20pm: Container Orchestration -
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016-containers

We'll be adding notes over the next day to the etherpads to guide
participants through each of the topics, based upon feedback and responses
in the original planning etherpad (
https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit-july-2016).

Want to join us from a remote location? Awesome! While each etherpad above
contains the participation information, here are the basics of where to go:
* For all main track sessions, as well as subtrack #1 (Windows), we'll be
gathering on IRC in #ansible-meeting, and via video (BlueJeans) here:
https://bluejeans.com/3008457278/
* For the afternoon Subtrack #2 session on Container Orchestration, we'll
be on IRC in ##ansible-meeting-2 (note the two ## in the channel name!) and
in video (BlueJeans) here: https://bluejeans.com/2413805790/

And of course, if you can't make it, we'll be recording, logging, saving,
and making notes, and then sharing all the details afterwards.

If you were already coming to AnsibleFest, or live in the area, and want to
join us in person -- we do have a few seats left, so feel free to respond
to me directly for more details.

Thanks!

Robyn & Greg

[ansible-project] Ansible Contributor Summit

2016-02-11 Thread Robyn Bergeron
Greetings!

Ansible will be holding our first contributor summit on Wednesday, February
17th in London, the day before AnsibleFest.

The Ansible core team will be collaborating in person with some of the most
prolific members of the Ansible community, and the session will be
available to all via IRC and streaming media. Details about the schedule
and topics, along with where and when to participate, can be found here:

https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/ansible-summit

We’ll be doing our best to document the in-person comments and
conversations on IRC, as well as streaming and recording the meeting, so
that folks can participate remotely or view the activity and output
afterwards.

And of course, when we’re done, we’ll be sure to let everyone know the
output of our day in a blog post or email.

Cheers,

-Robyn
