[arch-dev-public] ICU 51.2 ABI breakage
It would appear that ICU 51.2 causes segfaults in at least LibreOffice: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/35466 http://upstream-tracker.org/compat_reports/icu4c/51.1_to_51.2/abi_compat_report.html#High_Risk_Problems I moved the poppler rebuilds out of testing so that libreoffice doesn't have to be rebuilt twice. I will proceed to rebuild libreoffice, verify that the segfaults are gone and push it to extra. I assume that only packages linking to the layout engine (libicule.so.51) need to be rebuilt, so I will only do libreoffice and harfbuzz. (I'm basing this on the upstream-tracker.org report which shows just a few symbols in the LayoutEngine class as affected.) Andy, please check to see if anything else needs to be done to address this problem. :)
[arch-dev-public] Pushing mono to the next level
Hi, long time no update from my side, but now I return with the push of mono to the release 3.0.7. Also monodevelop get the latest version to 4.0.8. I have tested the most mono-related packages (the most which I use on my computer) and I haven't found any errors. If you found any bugs, please report them to the bugtracker. I will update the next mono-related packages the next days to update the whole mono framework in our repo. -Daniel

Specially the "Ignore > automatically obtained routes" option. This is OT, but I still feel I need to bring this across: The point is that you shouldn't need to configure anything at all - and when you use OpenVPN directly, you don't need to. It's only networkmanager's incorrect defaults that make this more complicated than it should be. > Back on topic, we can drop at least kovpn then (CC'ing Sergej). > > [1] http://wstaw.org/m/2013/05/24/plasma-desktopQ10566.png Yes, let's drop kovpn. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

I had those issue too, but you can set pretty much everything related to routes in the "IP4 Settings -> Routes"[1] tab. Specially the "Ignore automatically obtained routes" option. Networkmanager's OpenVPN plugins connects to OpenVPN servers and receives routes and addresses. It then decides to ignore all routing information the server sent and always sets up a default route through the VPN. It also takes some arbitrary host as gateway, not the one that the server tells it to. In this scenario, it is no longer sufficient to configure the server properly, you also need to duplicate all configuration in the networkmanager applet on the client. It's been that way for years and this hasn't changed since (although the last version I tried was a year ago or so). signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
