We should have a new version of ghc on monday or sometime next week which
will kick off a rebuild that will fix this.
I'm leaning towards leaving this broken until the rebuild for the new ghc
 version.
Especially since it's been 3 months and there hasn't been a single bug
 reported for this afaik.
This reaffirms my suspicion that no one really uses most of the archlinux
 packaged haskell libraries.

I can not speak for pinot though.

I'll help with rebuild of haskell packages in [community]. I'd like to keep
xmonad/xmonad-contrib/xmobar in [community] since it's nice to have
these common haskell applications. (although pkgstats tells me otherwise
;) )

So maybe haskell-gtk (and related deps: haskell-pango, haskell-glib,
haskell-cairo can go)

There are some haskell libraries which are standalone and nothing
depends on:
- haskell-http
- haskell-zlib
- haskell-tar
- haskell-regex-compat
- haskell-regex-posix

I'd suggest we remove those!
