Nvidia hasn't released official drivers for xorg-server 1.8. I doubt that will work. It worked for the old version of the nvidia driver, because it included support for the ABI of the xorg-server 1.8 prerelease. The legacy drivers have been released a long time ago, they certainly won't support any 1.8 ABI, not even the prerelease one. IgnoreABI will probably just lead to X server crashes. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

The only one working so far afaik is the 'nvidia' driver itself. This is one thing preventing 1.8 moving out of testing. As well as nvidia-beta. Though that's not in the repos. Just for completeness. AUR's nvidia-beta== 195.36.24 (same as nvidia in testing)
