Welcome! So you have Arches set up already locally? That's great. In addition to the bug tracker, see http://archesproject.org/ideas. I'm not sure which bugs are considered good for newcomers to try, but maybe some of the developers will have some ideas. However, you might want to just use your best judgement, grab a bug, and start working on it -- see what happens, and if you run into problems, ask here.
