Position: Techno/Functional Consultant - Oracle Purchasing Workflow Location: Alexandria, VA Duration: 3 months Start: somewhat flexible. Between May 26 and June 8 is workable. We currently have a need for a techno/functional consultant with deep ORACLE purchasing module functional knowledge, specifically around approval workflow. The client has the purchasing module implemented and it was significantly customized to meet their unique business needs. Currently it does not meet those needs – so they are looking at making even more changes with this initiative. One option that they have considered is to implement the Application Workflow Engine. However, the in-house technical team has concerns about implementing it in their 10.5.10.2 instance. We’re looking at someone who can bring knowledge of workflow approval models, can provide options, pros/cons and be able to implement which option is selected. Could be as easy as more customization or doing something a little more extensive. The ideal candidate will be techno functional in order to be able to assess and implement solutions. There is some technical assistance at the client, but, this individual will be performing 80-90% of the work to be accomplished. Remote 6+months MUST have: *metals industry* experience (RECENT, within last 3 years) expertise in SAP *MFG/procurement* (this will be your MM/WM type k's) We have a client that is struggling with some business process issues and whom is trying to look for more efficient ways to use SAP within their MFG and procurement processes. They are live on SAP ECC 6.0 and they have constant issues with moving steel efficiently, and faults with their picking strategy. They are batch managed which is quite different than how other MFG is done in other industries. They are looking from someone with SAP purchasing and shipping experience. But even more important is METAL industry experience. Within Mill Products, this client is very specific to the steel pipe industry. They have 1 product that makes multiple products, versus the other way around in other industries. MFG and procurement works VERY differently within this industry, and therefore these issues are specific to this industry and they are looking for a consultant(s) whom have this experience that could provide expertise to make the business run more efficiently. They have numerous projects but are pushing them out because of the lack of internal expertise.
