hi freinds  Today - 15th, i enquired in landmark, music world and some standard music shops in chennai, where they confirmed they are receiving only on 17th. they told just to get feed backs from customers in the form of enquiries that how far the news has spread the distributors have done this market tactics. And uniformly they have no idea about that extra things with audio-cd like video clips of songs, interviews, poster etc. only after getting their copy can let us know what the indian version of package contains. Even in dailies like "The Hindu" today (15th) they have announced as God Father audio releasing today. why cant we wait & watch, suppose if there is second edition release with all those extras, we can go for it, as if for the first edition they dont have extras? ur views plse. thanks Pankaj :-)

i am not sure about the situations for dil ne jise pna kaha or fiza 
but what i do know is that for kisna, Subhash Ghai wanted a r rahman 
to create the music just like he had for taal. but due to time issues 
and having to much work on hand, a r rahman only composed a few songs 
and advised Ghak to hire ismail darbar to complete the rest of the 
songs, so thats the story for KISNA but im not sure about the others.

Vijay's next movie - Puli (100% confirmed)

Puli is vijay's next movie. Hari is directing the movie, A.R.Rehman 
is scoring music and asin is the heroine.
Yesterday vijay said this news in the press meet. My frnd knows a 
reporter in nakkiran. He only gave the information. He said that 
they given advance to A.R.Rehman also. Vijay is doing cop role in 
puli. 

Initially vijay didn't like the story it seems, it was a normal 
character like local guy character and vijay was also upset abt the 
dropping of puli, but now hari has narrated a new story with police 
role. Vijay liked the script vry much and now he is ready to do 
uli. 

It seems vijay has put some weight and luks grt. Yesterday night 
vijay left to some foreign locale. 

By march they are going to start the shooting and release puli on 
diwali.

One more thing vijay paid back 40% compensation to the theater 
owners. Vijay has asked his father to give the cheques. All the 
problems solved. 
After coming back vijay will start puli with full energy.

I was terribly upset to hear that GODFATHER is
releasing on Feb 24.  How can this happen to a RAHMAN
movie??  His music needs time to reach the masses and
one week isn't enough.  My wish is to release the
movie on April 14 and there is no doubt that then the
film is going to be a hit.  The producers are making a

Pink was the predominant colour, but a splash of basanti bathed
the dance floors on Valentine’s Day. Patriotism, mixed and stirred with
the party spirit, was the surprise flavour of February 14 as the city
danced all day — and night. Rang De Basanti, the title track of
the Aamir Khan blockbuster sung by Daler Mehndi and composed by A.R.
Rahman, blasted at every major disc in town.
		
		  
  
It is the purity of the Bhangra number that is making it so big, feels the singer. “Rang de… has
the Punjabi folk feel that has caught on. Punjabi songs nowadays are
being punctuated with very funny electronic sounds. That is where this
song has scored. It is doing well in nightclubs because it has a very
catchy rhythm and catchy lyrics,” Daler Mehndi told Metro from Mumbai.
		
		  
  
With no big floor-burner after Kajra re and Dus bahane, the top table-turners in town are raving over Rang de basanti.
“Simply put, the urban youth is connecting with the track,” says DJ
Girish of Shisha Bar. “It’s fast, it’s got a good base line and a
patriotic message.”
		
		  
  
DJ Vicky of Venom is all for the pace of the track: “Rang de… has its own pace which should not be disturbed,” he says, refusing to speed it up digitally.
		
		  
  
The last Tricolour track that went down well with the party people was Aa ye o sung
by Adnan Sami. It hit the airwaves just before World Cup 2003 and the
video featured everyone from Sachin Tendulkar to Amitabh Bachchan. “The
track was played in the nightclubs whenever India won a match. The song
lost its appeal as soon as India lost the finals,” says DJ Akash of
Fusion, at The Golden Park.
		
		  
  
Lyricist
Prasoon Joshi puts down the popularity of the title track of the super
hit film to the unrivalled impact that “popular culture” can have on
people. That was quite visible on V-Day evening, as the young and the
not-so-young cheered every time Rang de… punctuated the mush melodies at Shisha or Venom or Fusion.

hi girish  i appreciate ur sincerity to correct musicindia online's mistake to post it as ARR's and also clarified us that Kaadhal Sangamam's songs are by Vidyasagar. But we feel u should not exceed the limit by calling VS's songs as "stupid songs" instead can use not appealing, unworthy etc. VS cannot reach what he is today just with his not good songs. So he has given many good music. Be fair in _expression_. He is also another big MD in this industry even before ARR's entry and senior to ARR. He is also giving good melodies though not to the extent of ARR's technicality and VS is famous for melodies. That does not mean i m for VS as i used to listen to many MD's good songs though a good fan of ARR. hi admin gops, vij & all friends
  as far ARR's audio releases concerned, why cannot we place a sincere 
signature campaign request sort through an email itself (only one mail 
containing many of our members "select option" to show we are signing in) to 
ARR himself through our admin, gops & vij, to see all his releases in future 
are released universally globally on a single day which wud prevent privacies

Dear Fans

We want to give the best to the Rahman fans. 

Please dont mistake us for postponed the release date. 
We are the one who suggest Rahman sir to come with 9 tracks. The 
actual track is with 6 songs only.
and we are the one who suggest to the KM Musiq team to prepare an 
interview about the audio from the celebrities and request Rahman 
sir poster. We preparing this package specialy for Rahman sir fans. 
(Sorry for Ajith Fans - the producer didnt help us much in this).

The main reason for delay is, we received the video master just 
yesterday. Thats why we postponed the release date for 24th Feb. But 
it will be available all over the world 26th Feb onwards (Malaysia 
and Singapore - will be in stores on 24th Feb). 

We invest lot and if we release it late, people will provide the 
songs for illegal download and pirates. So the effect are big for 
us.So same as you all we are worried so much because of the 
postpone. But we hope all the Ajith fans and Rahmans fans will 
support us by buying the original.

KM Musiq and Agi Music want to do the best in bringing Rahman's all 
film albums and non film albums with an exrtraodinary music and 
packaging.

We need your supports. We have great plans for Rahman's future 
albums. But its all depend on the support and success of this 
Godfather.

Please dont download illegaly and dont buy the pirate copies.

I called STAR MUSIC who are releasing the audio.(refer newspaper ad).[Chennai].They say it may be the producer who gave the ads in papers. bu t they are releasing the audio only on Feb 17th.There is no release function bu the cassettes and CD's will be available by morning 11:00 in all store incl. LANDMARK and PLANET M.

There seems to be a program commemorating Rahman himself and it said on the flyer that Rahman himself is supposed to give a speech there.
