dear fans
   
  i enquired with a singapore mall and they showed a dvd title bombay dreams 
having arr concert performed in USA. Year not mentioned in that. But the tracks 
list displayed appears to be LA-2000 available in all music outlets. Plse 
someone confirm abt this whether that is the same one as they don't have a 
player facility to watch & find out. Secondly another member posted as having 
stage shows of dubai & chennai concerts. Where can i get it for a reasonable 
price ? Frnds plse guide us.

Rahul Deshpande, (for those who do not know), is a renouned Hindustani 
classical singer, grand-son of the Great Guru (Late) Pt. Vasantrao 
Deshpande, specifically mentioned in a radio interview ( RADIO MIRCHI 
98.3FM / Pune / Saturday 3'rd Feb 9 to 10 AM ) that he loves AR 
Rahman's music apart from western / english music.

It proves that good music always attracts good persons ! Talent 
respects Talent !!!

Rahul Deshpande is a torch bearer of the new generation and has 
tremendous potential in strengthening the Classical Music of India. He 
has already made a mark on the Classical music and recently performed 
extremely well in the 2006 edition of SAWAI GANDHARV music festival in 
Pune.

We are inviting him to attend one of the RAHMANIA 2007 programme.

presentation ceremony of Reliance Mobile Vijay Awards - ungal favorite yaar. 
Kamal Haasan,
Vikram, Vijay, Trisha, Shriya, Khushboo, Sathyaraj, Cheran, K.S. Ravikumar, SP 
Balasubramanyam,
S Janaki, Prabhudeva, Prabhu, Dhanush, Sarath Kumar and many more graced the 
occasion by their
presence.

Reliance Mobile Vijay awards; the first awards ceremony is the first of its 
kind in south
India. It is for stars chosen by their best jury - the audience. Reliance 
Mobile Vijay Awards
progressing in three phases: the nomination stage, the voting stage and the 
presentation
ceremony.

The nomination stage, as reported by us, saw a van, aptly titled Rasigan 
Express, travelling
across 9 cities in Tamilnadu, registering nominees for the 9 categories. A 
total of over ten
million votes were received, indicating the overwhelming response. In the next 
stage, the
nominees for each of the categories were announced and the viewers got another 
chance to cast
their vote to make their favorite star a winner. Weekly updates on voting

Nokia Most
Favourite Hero was given to Ajith . Ajith, A.R. Rahman, who won the Most

the function due to previous commitments.

As part of the special awards, Vijay TV proudly announced the first ever 
"Chevalier Sivaji
Ganesan Award for Excellence in Cinema" to Padmashree Kamal Haasan; for his

contribution to Tamil cinema. After a closed ballot voting amidst the film 
fraternity; the jury
was proud to present the 'TVS Star City - Superstar of Tomorrow" to none other

  that is all. next step is to request the director to upload the shivaji movie 
into some server as 2 part-file soon in mpeg format. so that tensions won't 
errupt in this group for sometime till they get the audio release & after movie 
release & fight each other with mails as what is good & what is not & comparing 
with past, present & future works of technicians & actors involved & comparing 
with others. "the worries of fans here look more than the worries of actual 
people involved in a movie". jus kidding.

[arr] Appachan(ATM producer) will never take risk

Hi everybody
 Today there was a news that ATM will be released
along with SIVAJI. But iam sure that the ATM producer
will never release it on APRIL. I think that ATM can t
compitate with SIVAJI. SIVAJI is the much awaited
movie in 2007. Then incase of music i think that we
can never compare this two albums. Like u i also hope
that SIVAJI music will be entirely diffrent from ATM.
I wrote so much because i dont want to see a
competition between ARR and ARR even if in the last 16
years he is competating himself..

dear fans
   
  I m continuously receiving requests from few members to send guru bgm song. 
first of all its not of good quality. Its is the same one posted by mr.rakesh 
which i reposted it individually to 3 guys here (forgotton those names sorry) & 
requested them to share with the group as i found problems in uploading to some 
servers. Even i announced this to the grp immediately. I was disappointed to 
see they did not come forward to share with others. Frankly to say i just 
listened to it thrice & deleted as not of good quality. But some members here 
must be having that guru bgm shauk hai song bit. I request them to come forward 
and share for the members who desperately requesting me to send. Kindly help 
them to enjoy the same. thanks in advance to respond to my request.

[arr] Sajni team rolls out the red carpet for ARR fans

Nazeef from the group was at the music launch of Sajni and this is his first 
person account:

The audio launch of sajni-Arr's first Kannada movie!

The launch was last thursday-At hotel Atria, Bangalore.I had the invitation for 
the event,
thanks to a good family friend.The invite was just for us to watch the 
proceedings, but things
turned out differently just because we were Ar Rahman fans!!

For a fact we know that Ar Rahman is a very very respected man but only here 
did i realise that
being his good fans is also higly respected! Sabari and I, Nazeef, made it very 
early to the
venue and the event manager told us the entire program was delayed.We returned, 
wearing the
group's black arr t shirt under a cream colored blazer-and it seemed like it 
was Arr fan's
official dress code!We were speciall Ar rahman fans for the evening!Now check 
out the
priveledges of being a true Rahmaniac!!
Both of us had seats reserved in our names, and this was pleasant enough as a 
starter!! The
show was hosted by Harsha and sindu of big fm 92.7! And as the list of names 
were mentioned, it
started off with arr's name and ended with a mention of our presence there! 
Following, we had
speeches by the Producers and the actors all talking about the genius Ar rahman!
The biggest surprise was we were called for all the official photo shoots on 
behalf of arr's
fan club!!
What seemed to send waves throughout Karnataka was the fact that the genius had 
landed in the
industry and his first word was 'chanaigideera'!! The entire hall went dark and 
on the screen
came ARR and said Chanaigideera, this was followed by a huge applause! Ar 
rahman spoke for a
few minutes including a few kannada words.He apologised for not being there as 
he was busy with
the music for provoked and had to leave for london.
The video ended and they played the audio visual of all the songs! It was 
amazing! The songs
and the video! Followin was an interactive session and it was unbeleivable and 
the people
including the media approached us as Rahman had mentioned the presence of his 
fans -which
seemed like a direct arrow pointing to the two of us! The actor,Dhyan, and the 
actress,Sharmila
both claimed to be huge Rahman fans and showed interest in joining the 
group.Infact Dhyan was
too happy to meet us and said i would love to be called a Rahmaniac too! The 
entire event was
loaded with camera clicks-and a lot of glamour.The entire sajni team spoke to 
us on Ar rahman
and beyond doubt, the presence of the genius would have made an everest of a 
difference-

Apparently Mr.Lankesh is starting off with a bollywood film and asked us how to

welcome to the
kannada industry and looking forward to a lovely long relationship" -Mrs.Sonali 
Nikhil, the
producer.
 
"Rahman is a legend.Me and my husband have always loved working with and i will 
always enjoy
working with him inspite of the waits.Like my husband says Rahman is like the 
pain of a
pregnant woman who forgets all the pain when she sees her baby.So music of 
Rahman for all our
films from Jeans to provoked and sajni is the joy of delivering the beautiful 
baby.God bless
him and all his fans who love him so much" - Mr and Mrs.Sunanda murali, the co 
producers and
presenters of the movie."
They are also producing the movie provoked starring Aishwarya Rai.
 
"I know all the songs in Tamil.That is enough to say how much i love him" 
-Ms.Sharmila, the
actress of the movie.
 
"We just love Rahman too much" -The big Fm team present there!
 
The Cd's were launched and they called the Two rahman fans on dias and gave us 
copies to
each.Indeed the honor is tremendrous! The media flocked us and approached us on 
Ar rahman.We
spoke about the group.Lets hope we get good coverage.Even the Big Fm team was 
inquisitive on
the group.The production team obliged to release the rahman video and the media 
team obliged to
release the photos.
 
It was such a priveledge to be a Rahmaniac out there! The reach was amazing, 
and the kind of
respect we got was awesome! Certain things cant be told but be felt! The 
feeling i still strong
within.Finally, the event got appetising-with Champagne and dinner to 
follow.Well, with the
hero's arm on your shoulder and the heroine next to you, with the producers 
just in front of
you, you really cant eat it much, can you??? "

that ARR "whistled for that song and may god bless

It is generally the politicians who say one thing and shamefully take an
opposite stance suddenly. Now, it is Ismail Durbar, the composer of Devdas!

Here are some excerpts from his recent Hindustan Times
interview(Thanks

"I call him (A.R.Rahman) Guru. He also respects me..."
"I remember he won at two different award functions; he went on to win for
Taal and Saathiya. See the humility in him... he called me through lyricist
Mehboob and said that I deserved both the awards (for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
and Devdas). That's why I respect him"

Now for a short flashback! This is what he said in a Rediff
interview,
about one-and-half years back:

"People have told me my work was better than Rahman's in Kisna. (ARR
composed 2 songs and ID composed 8 for Kisna)"
"My work has always been better than his. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was better
than Taal. Even Devdas was better than Saathiya.
But it is destiny that he got international fame. Angrezo ne uska haath
pakad liya hai toh logo ko lagta hai ke yeh kuch zyada hi hai (Foreigners
encouraged him so people think he is very good).
I am not saying this because of jealousy. This is the bitter truth. Whenever
my work is good and he takes the awards, I feel bad.
I wonder why people run after name and fame, and not good work. Kyunki
hamare yahan bahut kum akal ke log hai (we have very few intelligent people
here). We see some foreigners holding someone's hand, and he becomes a big
man."

Ah!! What a jerk!
