Just epic!! Being absolutely bonkers about DVDs, this is a real treat for me!! The moment it is available for pre-order, I will order it. No point waiting this is the biggest Hindi DVD ever. No movie so far got this treatment. And, as I had said sometime back, Satyajit's documentary is being included as well!! This DVD redefines what a DVD release should be in India. I have the first DVD release of Lagaan and the whole movie is on one disc. But now it appears that Aamir has really gotten a remastering job done. The sound on the old DVD was great but this one will be just phenomenal in surround. I think it has to do with Aamir producing the movie and the whole history behind the movie that warrents such a lavish release. There was another Aamir interview in Indian Express I think, where he was asked about Lajjo. He said that it was in the scripting stage and that if the status changes he will let us know. This, along with the fact that Mani said that it is being scripted, means that the movie is actually on. I read somewhere that Mani had approached Gulzar to write the screenplay. I just hope it all works out OK. Guys, I accidentally purchased 2 tickets for A.R.Rahman show in Chicago, whilst i was supposed to buy it for the Atlanta show. I spoke to the organizers and they said it cannot be refunded or shifted to the atlanta show. The tickets are $70 tickets. If anyone is purchasing tickets for Chicago show, can you take these tickets and buy tickets for the atlanta show OR if anyone is interested in taking these tickets for the chicago show, please do let me know. The problem started with Kareena opting out and Aamir getting busy with his other films including his directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par. However, producer Bobby Bedi has been citing other reasons for the oh-so-long delay. The film didn't hit the floors in December last year for reasons best known to the filmmaker. A source close to Ratnam says, The film is definitely not happening. Even the actors have got busy with other projects. Mani Ratnam is extremely unhappy about the fate of the film. Sources indicate that Aamir Khan wasn't too happy with the final script. This led Khan to work on his home production, Taare Zameen Par followed by Kajri, the Hindi remake of Tamil super hit Ghajini. There were major differences on the script and other aspects. As a result the film never got started, adds a reliable source. Mani Ratnam Producer Bobby Bedi had earlier revealed that Mani Ratnam was busy with Guru so the film never hit the floors in December.
