A.R Rahman will create history once again in the days to come. The
Oscar-winning composer and musician will promote peace in the nation after
recent news of assaults on Indians living there.


Rahman is performing at Parramatta Park near Sydney on January 16 as part of
his world tour and for the first time in the history of Australia a concert
has been declared as a 'vehicle-free event'.


The organisers have even launched an advertising campaign asking people to
leave their cars at home and enjoy Rahman's live performance that will go on
for over two hours.

Kumar Sanu has been interviewed by a bengali news Paper "Anandabazar" where
Kumar Sanu is saying Rahman to be the best composer now.

Also he has some interesting opinion on Slumdog... just get some laughing
mood...

ABP: You're producining a movie called 'Yeh Sunday kiu Aate Hay?'
Sanu: yes, It'll be released on 5th Feb. It's regarding 4 kids having
profession of boot polishing. The actors were real boot polishers in
Goregaon.

ABP: seems like "slumdog millionaire"...
Sanu: "slumdog millionaire" is 100% inspired from my movie. No body knows
about it. My movie was finished by Feb 2007, "slumdog millionaire" has been
made much later. I didn't get a chance to sell my movie since there are no
other start than Mithun in the movie.

ABP: Who is the no. 1 music director now?
Sanu: Who else! A.R.Rahman. I'm not telling since he received Oscars for
"slumdog millionaire", he didn't provide any great music in "slumdog
millionaire". The compositions of "Roja", "Bombay" were far far better.

ABP: But you've sung only one song for rahman...
Sanu: That was "LOVE" from my collegues (sarcastic). They told something
wrong about me to Rahman and he didn't offer a song to me afterwards...

Sir is awarded by British. I am not sure if this title is reserved only for a 
Britt origin and national. 

I suggest you could use "Padmashri A R Rahman" this is more patriotic as well. 
I dont think AR would be disappointed bcs Padmashri was awarded by the 
President of India

SNEGITHAYE is actually a film called "Raakkilipaattu", SHOT in MALAYALAM by
Priyadarshan...When the film as 80% complete..Priyan realised the emerging
star value of some of the cast, and made it Bi-lingual, by reshooting a few
scenes(With same shots) for the Tamil version. ARR was signed in as the MD
first...But due to some time-constraints, ARR opted out, and Vidyaji entered
the scene. All the songs in  the Audio CD are by Vidyaji.. But
Priyadarshan's close associates, had told me, that ARR's songs were
removed.. but many of his background scores were retained.

First of all, after hearing a  promo song nobody can rate that song,but can say 
whether it will be a hit or a flop.when a song is hummable that will be hit for 
sure.after hearing hosana promo how do you rate this song,is it hummable,will 
it be hit.we rahman fans wil accept the song,but will the public.guys give ur 
ratings.

I just downloaded LOTR musical track from Amazon.com. The songs are 
spectacular. I am trying my best, with the knowledge of trade mark Rahman style 
of composing, to figure out which of these tracks were by Rahman. Can anyone

this melody is heartfelt and wonderful. No swooping violins or synth sounds, 
but pure, gorgeous melody.

  Since Trisha's character  in VTV is a Christian this should be the 
meaning:

"Hosanna" (Greek transcription: ὡσαννά, hōsanna) is the cry of praise or 
adoration shouted in recognition of the Messiahship of Jesus on his entry into 
Jerusalem, Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord![3] It 
is used in the same way in Christian praise.

Overall, it seems that "Hosanna" is a cry for salvation; while at
the same time is a declaration of praise. Therefore, it may be derived
that this plea for help is out of an agreeably positive connotation.

The old interpretation "Save, now!" which may be a popular etymology, is based 
on Psalm 118:25 (Hebrew הוֹשִׁיעָה נָּא hOshEeah-nna)
(Possibly "Savior"). This does not fully explain the occurrence of the
word in the Gospels, which has given rise to complex discussions.[4]

while waiting 4 VTV, lets discuss this..

i'm watching Snegithiye on Astro Vellithirai..
till the girls perfom  after "Ramesh"  killed, i traced few ARR song:

1. Kahin Aag Lage (Taal)- during Tabu in the police station after Sarika Death.

2. Taal- After Jyotika phone conversation talking about Ramesh

3. Vande Mataram- just before the the killing scene before the girls perfom in 
front of Tabu.

and as a D-H-F, unfortunately i just found that:

A.R. Rahman was supposed to do the Music for this movie. 
But since Priyadarshan wanted the Music soon, A.R. Rahman rejected the project, 
and Vidyasagar scored the Music. 

and wiki says that:

Music by : A.R. Rahman & Vidyasagar (note that ARR mentioned first)
