Yup Shekhar Kapur's message means there WILL be songs. I remember him tweeting 
that he has recorded some song with ARR.

Rahman’s conservatory breeds fine composers - R. Richard Mahesh, Sampurn 
MediaWith young musicians coming up with extraordinary spells during the recent 
times, here’s yet another music composer with excellent skills. Debutant Johan, 
who has graduated from the A R Rahman School of Music made his debut 
withAimbulan.

The film is produced by PSG Movie Makers and has a wonderful musical score by 
Johan. So impressed was director Murugaiah with this newbie composer’s skills 
that he offered him to score music for his debut flick Kurunila 
Mannargal. Director Cheran released the film’s audio recently at Sathyam 
Cinemas.

Apparently, now with the songs of Kurunila Mannargal doing extremely well at 
audio markets, music director Johan has won more offers in tinsel town. It’s 
worth mentioning that three young musicians from the school of A R Rahman– 
Thamman, Johan and Satish Chakravarthy have been rocking the charts with their 
musical scores.

But I'm sad to see that one of my other favs for the year 'Gulaal'
didn't earn a single nomination. It deserved a nom for the Music and

We had our best bet with Khwaja Ji last year, which I thought Rahman truly

Looks like I got it wrong. But i didnt quite understand. It was me who asked 
him about the music of Paani, on twitter. I asked him who the lyricist was and 
he replied "Not sure". And then he said he recorded 2 songs. Confusing isnt it?

Guys,

Since yesterday I have been hearing this new soundtrack by Rahman-Ye maya
Chesave (In telugu). Even Though I cannot understand the language, I must
say I am thoroughly impressed!...I loved all but 1 songs in this soundtrack
(Akassam)Wow...such beautiful, layered romantic tracks .The track
Kundanapu bomana is simply ethereal.  I am hooked on to them...and still
listening...

With young musicians coming up with extraordinary spells during the recent 
times, here’s yet another music composer with excellent skills. Debutant Johan, 
who has graduated from the A R Rahman School of Music made his debut 
withAimbulan.

The film is produced by PSG Movie Makers and has a wonderful musical score by 
Johan. So impressed was director Murugaiah with this newbie composer’s skills 
that he offered him to score music for his debut flick Kurunila Mannargal. 
Director Cheran released the film’s audio recently at Sathyam Cinemas.

Apparently, now with the songs of Kurunila Mannargal doing extremely well at 
audio markets, music director Johan has won more offers in tinsel town. It’s 
worth mentioning that three young musicians from the school of A R Rahman– 
Thamman, Johan and Satish Chakravarthy have been rocking the charts with their 
musical scores.

loose its respect. Appearing as if there is nobody on music front 
except our man, and such an assertion is unjustified really absolutely.

What were there critera for shortlisting/ selection? Did they request 
viewers to send sms or how? Who was on their jury?

  Was talking to local store guy (on phone) and he said that they have 
recieved Rahman's Sydeny concert DVD from India (along with their usual 
shipment of other cd/dvds etc) and I can get it whenever I visit him. 



I am bit surprised as I didnt read any news of DVD out (though I did read that 
it will come out in future)... could it be pirate copies / TV recording burned
