A nice mention by Rivjot bro..! Not so long ago...with due respects, Usha Uthap sang the original Vande Mataram in her own style..there wasn't any hoopla and cry about it..! And i don't understand why some of the veterans who have been soo successful in their hey days fail to whole heartedly accept the next gen Icons..??!!! I'm sure Manna Saab wouldn't be speaking his heart in the interview..since AR doesn't rest without touching the hearts of the people..!!! ARR fans download the audio portion everywhere..play it in their ipods, their cars, their super stereos, even if the clip is 20 seconds in bad sound..but it's new ARR music... Discussions abound.is it good? ARR skeptics and naysayers chime in..I'm very disappointedalbum will be badwhat is ARR thinking 3) Some funny person named Gopal in this group releases a fake track list and half of all ARR fans everywhere believe it. 4) Music release date comes.people go to the stores to ask about the CD...but no CD and store people give them funny lookseven claiming never having heard of the film.disappointing trip back home. Think of all the AR Hindi albums where AR did not sing a full song in the past 10 years.Zubeidaa, 12 Ka 4, Nayak, Love U Hamesha, Legend of Bhagat Singh, Tehzeeb, Lakeer, Ghajini, Meenaxi, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Mangal Pandey, Blue, Yuvvraaj (except for that short bit in the first song with Shreya). How many of these music albums were a hit commercially? How many of these movies were a rage? You see? It's only a correlation and of course, we all love many of the songs from these albums..but...AR not singing an a Hindi album has not correlated with good commercial success in the past both music and movie. Now, think of all the Hindi albums that AR did sing in the past 10 years. Lagaan, Saathiya, Swades, Yuva, Bose (movie never released), Rang De Basanti, Guru, Jodha Akbar, Jaane Tu, Ada (movie never released), Delhi 6. How many of these music albums and movies from this list went on to become successful commercially? Now, if that track list of Raavan is true, AR has not sung in it. Let's hope for the best!

Not necessarily. Ghajini is one of the biggest movies of all time. The music of zubeidaa is classic. Two of the hit soundracks you listed never saw the movie even seeing the light of day. Ghajini was biggest hit of 2008 and still is 2nd biggest grosser of all time (after 3 idiots). Delhi-6 was not hit (movie). Some people still consider Swades average grosser, though in my opnion it was extremely good moie. So I am not sure how you categorized them.. because 'flop' list has gems like Meenaxi, Yuvvraaj, Zubiedaa LOBS - I think it was decent at BO... and Bose, I am quite sure that it was released in theatres, just that I havnt seen it on DVD. Music was supposed to release today Realization sets in that the launch function was set for the day, but CDs will take time to come out, another 2 weeks, due to T-series screwing up something. 6) Another music release date comes out by T-series.AR fans everywhere very apprehensive...but willing to wait..wait...wait.waitthe waiting gets harder everyday.. Notable AR fans start to make calls to T series people demanding an explanation and a true release date. Multiple release dates are subsequently announced and mass confusion, frustration, chaos among AR fans developswhich is the real date? Huh? Should I go to the music store that morning or not?? 9) Out of the blue, the album releases unexpectedly while people are frustrated and confused. Downloading begins everywhere while AR fans urge other AR fans to not download and wait to buy the CD. 10) Discussions, reviews, analyses, opinions all come flooding out after hearing the album with at least one person saying the music is a complete disappointment. .and a whole other chapter within the AR Rahman journey begins -- Thanks, -
