Tu Hi Mera Dost with soothing beats and Benny's croons could possibly be the song of the year. Mastam is fun with contributions from Sonu Nigam (comeback much?), Alka Yagnik, Naresh Iyer (he and Nigam complement well) gives it a "College Ki Saathi" meets "Legend of Bhagat Singh" feel. Shano is more like the slowed down version of Jaane Tu's "Pappu can't dance salaa" and Yuva's "Fanaa" but more likeable than the former. As the movie theme suggests, they're trying to blend different types of music as Ghai mentioned. Still, I like this track a lot. Tu Muskura is beautifult thanks to Alka Yagnik and the new tune. You can see the influence from Ilayaraaja's 90s tunes and it works well. Simply put, very easy on ears. My favorite singer, Srinivas rocks with Zindagi. This song brings me back to his 90s dominating days when Rahman was like a hit machine, primarly, the Kadhal Desam days. Dil Ka Rishta is great and how? It simply a great composition with orchestrial instrumentals and of course the constant beats. Manmohini has Vijay Prakash zinging his way through another good track. After an awesome Taal and a not-so-hot Kisna, Subhash Ghai gets it right this time with music and hopefully he doesn't fail in picturizations as Sakkarakaati fell flat. As for Rahman, he's obviously saving his best for hindi rather than tamil. Lately, it's evident and it's proven again here. Also, where's that Taxi Taxi Hindi number everyone's lauding about? Hi guys. Am Karan from Mauritius. I've seen a song "Zindagi Se Pyar Karo" in A.R.Rahman's bibliography, but I've never got to listen to it. You guys from India might have seen it aired on TV, but me here in Mauritius cant have this chance. So could anyone please post it for me??? I would be very grateful. Guys, Could you let me know if there is anything as "Vande Mataram TWO". Had gone on Rahman's official website. Browsed through the discography page. And in album, I saw something like "Indian Mantra" and in its songs list, there are a couple of songs which are said to be "from Vande Mataram 2". Thanks and regards, Karan

Hi Group,Bangalore Rocks may sound like a cliche, but ihave no other superlative to describe the Concert onSaturday. God forbid, I thought it would end up as adampner. One appearance and annoucement frm thegenius brought a jolt into the atmosphere. Ever undersuch skin-biting rains, there was such a rush ofenergy. MY GOD there was such an amazement of theartists at the crowd, they were so inspired by thecrowd's spirit, the show went on to be a stunner. What an atmosphere, what a performance. ARR was sochilled out even under such trying circumstances. Hisone smile and cheesy one-liners would send the crowdinto ripples.In the midst of the concert, ARR was sitting by thepiano. Crowd became bit restless asking for Dil Se byARR, and the genius just giggled and said "Rahmanhere, take me." That was my the moment of my life. Two years back, i happened to attend the Chennaiconcert, it went out very smoothly and was awell-executed one. I still cannot figure out howunder such a testing situation ARR pulled up such amiracle. To top it all, Aayo Re from Water, UNAnthem, and most dearly a Kannada number from Chitrawas a revelation. I was taken back by the quality ofthe lyrics and the execution of thesongMarvellous. I hoped to meet some of our groupfans, especially GOPAL. But i could not really figureout who is the greatest fan and who is not. Thisconcert will really find a place in ARR's heart andhis millions of fans as well and will be talked foryears to come. I can go on guys.i am still unable tosleep. please guys ... dont listen to pple who say that rising is a boring album.it is a beautiful albummelody at the forefront i have not in a long time heard melodies like vaari jaaoon ( not since teri mehfil me kismat azmaa kar_ mughale azam _ music naushad!!!) it is beautifulthe stanza ...wowthe line badi mehengi padi mujhe.( 2:50 to 3: 15)have me reaching fr the rewind button on my cd playerthe tabla is recorded like never before and the bass is awesome...the image it creates is awesome!!! holi re started with the disappointing beats ( notorious by now) but it is the best holi melodytrust me guys. takey is out of this wrldthe stanza is a wonderfully clear ,,,shining melody ...brilliant like th e sunshine. same with rasiya...the goriyaa manat manat man gayi is so sexy...it oozes oomph i guess it will be used in a sensuous way in the movie added with the magic of richa sharma...wow...she outsings herself in this one for sure!! al madaht maula i cry listening to the poignant song so full of pathos that it makes me wonder how a person can think of it as a song for " jehaadis" and one for the "extermination of non muslims"..it scares me to think of the existance of such non secular elements in the society ..leave alone the group.pathos and pain are the correct words to describe what the song invokes !!! and mangal is a good melody although an overkill of sorts in the album...but anythign for such a GEM of an album the final word..Rising power.GO ...GET IT hahaha. may rising be the hit of the decade. the promos have all i know , hooked to it!!!!long live ARR karan. fuck all...lick all !!! !!!
