[arr] A.R.Rahman show + Chicago

2007-05-23 Thread Kiran Maringanti
Guys,

I accidentally purchased 2 tickets for A.R.Rahman show in Chicago, whilst i was
supposed to buy it for the Atlanta show. I spoke to the organizers and they
said it cannot be refunded or shifted to the atlanta show. The tickets are $70
tickets.

If anyone is purchasing tickets for Chicago show, can you take these tickets
and buy tickets for the atlanta show OR if anyone is interested in taking these
tickets for the chicago show, please do let me know.

Guys, I am just like u, not any ticket broker or something. I am not trying to
make money or something. I am just trying to fix a mistake.

Regards

Kiran

I totally agree with you guys. This forum is about ARR and should remain that
way. Though i appreciate satya, I agree with the notion that this is not a
proper forum to project any other individual other than ARR.

We do not intend to hurt anyone, however we a strong group of 10k, it is
pretty important to maintain the context of our work around ARR and his work
and anything else is beyond the scope of this forum.

We can gladly start another forum which will be a ground for upcoming artists
and showcase their work.

I agree.

Hi Sathya,

I do appreciate and listen to your musical compositions.

But this forum, is for A R Rahman. As long as you have ARR compositions
to share, its fine for me.

But I sense that your messages are trying more to promote yourself.
(This is purely a personal view).

I know its really tough to draw a line between Fan's enthusiasm and self
promotion.

So I ask Gopal and others - should we allow musicians to promote
themselves on this forum?
(After all music is what we are here for, and ARR himself wants to
promote budding and new talents)

On an opposing note - won't letting non-ARR related stuff and music to
be promoted dilute the forum in the long run?

Just my thoughts and no offense meant to anybody.
And I stand with the view that this forum should be ARR and ARR only, as
with the convergence of technologies, and umpteen number of talent hunts
and shows, artists have so many other channels to promote themselves.
