I need two songs please- 1. One is Snehithane was twice in the audio cassette but not in audio-cd. my friend said the two songs of snehithane in cassette are ss with shrinivas one and the other ss with ustad sultan khan. so i don't have the 2nd one which isss with sultan khan. please upload if anyone has both the snehithaneys or mainly the missing ss with sultan khan. 2. Second one is from Minsara Kanavu, the sad song of Vennilavae Vennilavae Ennai Pol Theyaathae. [arr] ARR RECORDINGS AT LATE NIGHT
Hi we like to know unlike other MDs why the boss always records very late in the night causing inconvenience to others (technicians, instrumentalists singers). Though it is comfortable for him according to himself his own circle of pple, definitely it willnot be comfortable for others whether it is gents or ladies as they have to compromise it like a shift night-duty in other offices. But they are compromising only for the skills of arr. Otherwise if it is any other MD they would turn down the offer of recording late in the night as disturbing their routine habits regular time-table may not be that easy. Why this happens and how a recording procedure begins ends, from composing tunes to calling the singers and the singers who come from outside chennai, how they make it, where they stay. will they spend a day or two for these recordings. hi all. i m too one of the members here though not posting much but knowing the informations from u all. i dont understand u people take such comments regarding IR's popcorn foodseriously. And why should u think that IR is pinpointing only ARR as there are a handful of music directors in tamil industry.And i would like to make you all easy by a fact that ARR has not allowed much of tappaang kooththoo songs in his compositions except for rare items like amma petta iyyam petta-rap song in kaathalan movie.ARR not using much of that kind isitselfis a great relief. Where in case other music directors are making it a point atleast one song of this masala category-t'kooththoo in their choice including maestro ilayaraja who has composed lot of t'kooththoo songs in his peak which is not at all healthy when comes to good music pure music. t'kooththoo songs are aimed at one section of society which MDs think is an essential ingredient to make more audio sales.This is the weakness of tamil music which pulls down its popularity in the national international level. That is why we don't hesitate to say till IR's era tamil film music is not recognised even by the north indians, though IR has givenlots of gems in his period. but this masala thing or t'kooththu which was handled more in IR's era too, degrades the music. Now ARR has taken tamil music more recognized in north abroad. We think MDs instead ofstuffing t'kooththu variety songs compulsarily shouldhandle the classical music in a fusion way with western like ARR doing and pull out the listeners who listens more to t'kooththu songs and make them realize learn what is music actually in its classical form through western twist. As for us Oh Podu, Appadi Podu, Manmadha Rasa, Cheena Thaana,(yeh aatththaa atthorama, thanni thotti thedi vantha, so many t'koothu for kamal, rajni, vijaykanth other heros of 1980s 1990setc. by IR)variety songsis a curse to music in tamilnadu when it boasts ofits rich culture tradition in arts where tamilnadu is a heart of Carnatic Classical Music. We would like to let you know all, What Carnatic Classical has its own rich ragas in numerous countless numbers how the musicians present in a vast creativity skills in not present in the hindustani area. hindustani is very limited and they don't know to venture into more ragas creativity and always doing the same grind. As language is a barrier to the classical musicians here, our music is recognised only to certain extent. Otherwise we will be ruling the music nationwide-100%. We are proud to be part of tamilnadu of this rich music. So all the music directors of tamilnadu owe a lot to the saint-composers composers who explored carnatic music in those days itself of our king's dynasties. Because of this classical music only (be it carnatic or hindustani) these MDs both insouth northnow scores, debates and gone to the extent of finding fault with other mdswhen they feel they are let down not getting their due. This a jealousy attitude notmature. Live let live should occupy their minds instead of egoism.If it is so one could imagine those days saint-composers are unsung heros were not given their reasonable due credits in terms of royalties. Royalties means one can imagine the amount of classical songs now the present day musicians both in films carnatic kutcheris(concerts) handling music with a guidance only from their collections. So if the saint-composers receive the royalties, they will all become the highest tax-payers but what they underwent is a very miserable poverty devoting their life absolutely in service to god. THEY ARE THE GREATEST.Otherwise we won't be forming groups to discuss about music like this.ARR knows well about carnatic music their saint composers he will even agree bow down to those saints responsible for classical music thriving here and now its situation is greatly saved by professionals here. Music World, Land Mark AVM's Sound Zone at Shankara Hall. Water is not released. If your friend has got the cd means sorry to say, through some grey market only pirated copies. There is possibility if it was released in abroad months back when the film was screened in a film festival, limited edtions of audio cds might be released in the festival aimed at foreign audience. "mountains" -- if i had been listening to this song while driving up into the shenandoah (mountains in virginia state), the songs would have absolutely fit the occasion "dacoit duel" -- i m spellbound.. i can really see 2 men baying for each other's blood, measuring each others paces and making lethal advances now.. which one of these was the theme song? and what is the song ordering... i would like to listen to these songs in proper sequence.. i think "blue light" precedes "horses" because of the tune match. i might be wrong...i kinda didnt appreciate that jolin tsai's song. considering the above, this pop song faded below my recognition and so was that "lords..." song. I wonder how Roger Hall wrote that review. Maybe he is a good reviewer for western sounds. Unfortunately, he seems to be prejudiced towards that half of the world alone. I somehow felt that he exhitbited more of contempt than respect. Had he really delved deeper into sounds and the space that they provided and the relation of the songs to the movie, I do not think he would have written such an insensitive review. Take nothing... just sample the "Monk" song. If you have seen the program on monks at Wudang Mountains telecast on Nat Geo channel, you will fully agree how well the song picturises monks meditating upon various truths of life.There is another one such song by Yanni called "After The Sunrise". Great visual appeal. Close your eyes and you can really imagine the sun rising from the horizon and casting its golden rays upon the land. I remember the "monk" song and the above song in the same breath. Both were instrumental. For vocal, take "Dheemi Dheemi" sung by Hariharan in the movie "1947 Earth". ARR is the MD for that movie. Close your eyes and listen to this song, and tell me what it reminds you of. Infact I was so inspired by the song that I wrote a poem on what I felt after listening to this
