To divert the attention from other important things(incomplete venues etc etc) and make ARR and the song the scapegoat. After all, they are the easy targets you see. So called Senior Music Composers - Firstly, they can't digest the fact that why only Rahman was asked to compose a theme song and why they were not...and the most hurting factor for them is the price tag that is floating around for that song.. Fans - Nothing new with these poor fellows...Some of them have genuine reasons for their dislike and others are still in 90's mode. They still refuse to believe that Rahman is a human being. They want Roja's and Thiruda Thiruda's all the time..and when Rahman gives them the album with 90's touch, they say that the song is outdated and Rahman has lost his touch... Just my opinion...not to hurt any one...

He just about scrapes through the comedy with a few light moments, but completely fails to touch your heart in the film's emotional scenes.Zayed Khan struggles through even basic scenes in the film, unable to alter his expressions in keeping with the film's needs, yelling when he's expected to be intense, and looking away in exasperation each time he can't come up with a more fitting reaction. A crash course in acting at Ghai's own Whistling Woods Film School might not be such a bad idea for Zayed.Katrina Kaif looks lovely and makes an earnest attempt in the acting department too -- in a film like this, that's plenty effort. Boman Irani hams it up as Katrina's doctor dad, and turns in what is sure to be one of his career's most embarrassing performances.And then there's Anil Kapoor whose character I had difficulty understanding - was he autistic, was he blind, did he have arthritis? I never did get it in the end because of the strange mannerisms and quirks Anil brought to his performance. And yet, it's the only performance in the film where some competence is visible.Ghai spares no efforts in giving Yuvvraaj a fancy feel, there's pleasing photography and spunky choreography on display, but AR Rahman's soundtrack throws up only three good tracks which is a shame considering the film's designed as a musical.Yuvvraaj doesn't quite hit the right note because it's an archaic drama that feels too tired. Barring a handful of vintage Subhash Ghai moments that still work, the film sadly is far from his best work.I'm going with one out of five for director Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj, I'd much rather watch Hero or Karmaall over again. This isn't the first time that the film's release has been delayed after the filmmakers failed to meet their initial release date of October 12, 2007. In circles where it really matters, the buzz is that the film is far from ready. The editing is taking too long and the makers are apprehensive about the length of the film. A reliable source says, Ashutosh is having a hard time cutting the film's length to three hours. He has too many scenes and shots to handle. Gowarikar, however, has been unable to supervise the editing and other post production work for a while because of ill-health. The filmmaker has been suffering from back problems and is forced to stay indoors. A source from Ashutosh Gowarikar Productions Pvt Ltd (AGPPL) says, Ashutosh has been unwell for a while and advised complete bed rest. We are yet to do the colour correction of the film. The background score is not complete either. Gowarikar, who takes keen interest in the music, could not make it to the recording studios recently. Even the music launch of the film has been postponed to January 2008, as the music rights of the film has changed hands from BIG music to UTV's newly launched record label. Previously, the actors Hrithik and Aishwarya had taken too much time to complete the dubbing. In fact, Gowarikar was so anxious that he even rushed to Hyderabad where Ash was shooting for other films and urged her to dub for the film at a local studio. A source says, Aishwarya was filming for Sarkar Raj and Pink Panther 2, which left her with barely any time to dub for Jodhaa Akbar. This prompted Ashutosh to head to Hyderabad where Ash was shooting for Sarkar Raj. Ashutosh Gowarikar UTV Motion Pictures had a high-profile meeting last week to determine the final release date. Apparently, they are considering February 15, but sources indicate that the film's release may get postponed to March. When quizzed about it, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, COO of UTV says, I cannot comment on anything right now. Please wait for the official announcement. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan has cut short the ongoing treatment of his knee injury in Singapore, and come back to the city to promote the film. Hrithik is taking active interest in the promotion and publicity materials of the film. a business. I agree with your theory abotu public not carrying hi-fi systems necessary to see the real deal behind AR's sounds. But I dont think that is entirely to blame. Actually, I thought most people in india had upgraded to somethign reasonable sounding.. but I may be out of touch. And you tell me the critics who write these reviews dont have hi-fi systems either??? In your last mail, you had written I stopped listening to critics long time ago. I think we should leave it upto that. Critics are professional and they have to earn a living by writing reviews. That must be affecting what they write. But, as everyone agrees that ARR's music grows on listeners, doesn't that itself say that any review published within hours of music getting released is premature as the music could not have grown on the critic. :) Read only those reviews which are published after at least a fortnight of release of ARR's new music. Actualyl there are ample people who do have appropriate means to listen to his sounds yet dont end up understanding to its depth. There are people like that in india and there are indian people like that outside of india. I dont think AR shoudl compromise his style, his genius, and his passion to suit the bulk of the crowd. not compormise, but improve. He should take a notice of the feedback and incorporate at least some which he himself finds genuine suggestions. ARR is in commercial world. He has to take into account the flow of the market. He has been a musical revolutionary since Roja, and he should stay that way. On some occaison it ends up being attractive on the surface too, and people cheer that. His those music that were attractive on surface too, were not a compromise on contents. That is what I am saying. He should mandatorily make his music have enough attractiveness of surface too. No one can please everyone! Not even God! God doesn't need Roti, Kapda, Makaan. ARR does. Hence ARR should not present God's way of living as an excuse. :) If he chose to adopt a style that pelases one crowd, he would lose out on another. Which crowd was displeased with Taal? It is best that he stick to what is natural to him, to me thats where his brilliance lies. He does not need to please the bulk of the crowd to be called a genius. You are unnecessarily mixing popularity with compromise. ARR had been popular without compromising. The blame is on the people. Let ARR say that The blame is on the people. Come on guys, listen to it carefully before coming up with this type of conclusions. As for me, Ah Aah is a dream come true for all of us after number of movies which not up to our expectations. Ah Aah certainly gonna rock the chartbuster..
