[arr] ¶ 127 HOURS ¶ "Music Tracks "

2010-09-06 Thread Vasu

MTV: In terms of the music, it's A.R. Rahman doing the score again after
"Slumdog." Can you speak a little about what he's done?

Boyle: We've got a couple of songs, and the rest of the work is more
guitar-based. Some of it is solo guitar, which felt appropriate given the
nature of the story. Got a couple of wonderful songs. Free Blood ("Never Hear
Surf Music Again") at the beginning, which we used for the trailer. Music has
always been a big part of a movie for me, and I hope we've done another one
justice we've what we've used.

Anybody got the track list guys

[arr] AR Rahman Finalised 23rd James Bond Film

2010-07-17 Thread Vasu
Luck follows success and success follows hardwork. After the success of Slumdog
millionaire and marathon of awards at Oscar Ceremony, AR Rahman has reached new
heights of his career.

The latest talk is that Rahman is all set to compose his magical Tunes for the
next Bond film. This would be 23rd James Bond film which will be produced by
Barbara Broccoli and co producer is McDougal who earlier produced a successful
movie `Beach' jointly with Danny Boyle.

Danny Boyle is the key person who values the talent of AR Rahman and is said to
have attached him into this opportunity. Good Luck Rahman we expect the same
wonders in music again.

IS it true Guys

[arr] Mr.Phani Kalyan's "PAPPU: Rocking..

2010-07-10 Thread Vasu
Hi Guys

Student of KM Music Conservatory First batch (2008-2009) Mr.Phani Kalyan PAPPU
AUDIO IS ROCKING..

I brought CD of Pappu.. n i was amzeed after listening to tracks..
all the tracks incredible and interesting voices in music.

Review : Source: itwofs.com

Pappu Hippo has an unusual charm to it; Radhika's rendition is beautiful
while Yash Golcha enthusiastic portions are lively.

Maya Ledi Pilla thankfully, completely different,
with marvelous singing by Alphonse and is strikingly arranged too; the
Nadaswaram version is gorgeous!

Srinivas' sonorous melody Mellaga has Phani underplaying the orchestration
suitably,

Ghal ghal is interesting in its rendition of a distinctive duet with Phani and
Abhinav!
Suvi's item'ish Tara rum pum is ordinary, but the punchy arrangements and
vocals do stand out.

CONGRATULATIONS PHANI UR ROCKING MAN.. SONGS ARE AWESOME

[arr] Re: Blue Music Topping Charts

2009-10-17 Thread Vasu
Hi

See we all are here just coz arrahman is poles apart from any other composer
and his music is universal right?

We are all least bothered about whether the Movie is a hit or flop, our concern
is only arr Music

I do accept music grows on listeners slowly, it happed in the past with all of
us in cases like (RDB,JTYJN, etc.. as once private taste) but this isn't the
case when it comes to arrahman, almost all of his songs were heart touching in
the first go itself.

Let me make it simple, the standard that arr has set for music and for him self
is the key factor here, expectations that every music lover has on his music is
something we can define, we see ppl reaction when the new releases meet their
expectations.

About BLUE like somebody said, The SOUND is pretty much like the contemporary
BOLLYWOOD sound..of VISHAL SEKHAR or SHANKAR EHSAAN LOY!!! It's absolutely
right, best example is kylie minogue song(somebody already discussed this in
the group, fails to match expectations).

See the song in LOVE BIRDS (arr-apache Indian), when I saw the news on
arr-apache Indian song in love birds I was very existed and arr did his part
song matched expectations.

All I wanted to say here..

I found Very good blog on what we are discussing, I dunno how many of you guys
agree with this, its 101% correct.

[arr] AR Rahman, Vandana Shiva part of International Space Station`s show

2009-10-11 Thread Vasu
London: Renowned Indian environmentalist Vandana Shiva and music mogul AR
Rahman are set to become a part of a global performance from the International
Space Station (ISS).

Circus entrepreneur Guy Laliberte will host the two-hour show to emphasise on
global water shortages.

The founder of the Cirque de Soleil theatre company is teaming up actors,
artists, politicians, and activists from 14 countries including India, South
Africa, and Australia for the event, reports the BBC.

The "Poetic Social Mission" will see each participant reading a section of a
poem, stressing the need for everyone to have access to clean water, followed
by a musical or artistic performance.

Shiva will narrate a section that will be followed by a video recording of a
performance by Rahman in Mumbai.

The show will be aired live on the website of Laliberte's water charity `One
Drop'.
