Hello Frnds

today by  chance i came across the Song "Tu hi Tu"  its  a gr8 song  ,

on getting to know more about the song i came to know that the song is 
from BOSS,s  album  Kabhi na Kabhi (1998)


well the album is  really a gem,  specially the song " Milgaye 
Milgaye" , "Mere Dil Ka"  and  "Tu Hi TU"  are  outstanding showing 
the true Rahman Flavour in it.

Hi  
In the album Dil ne jise apna kaha.. ARR was the original composer 
selected by director Atul Agnihotri. ARR was able to compose only 3 
songs for the film and as he was busy with Bombay Dreams and LOTR 
and stuff  he found it very difficult to do more songs for the film.
So finally with the consent of ARR, Himesh Reshmiya was selected to 
compose the remaining songs.

  2)Jane Bahara
  3)Zindagi hai dua

London Dreams   starring Ajay Devgan and Slaman Khan. (Mumbai Mirror 
30 mar 06)


ARR has also been roped in as ambassidor of World Space radio
so now Boss is going to compose their Theme music and also will be 
endorsing them.

ARR  on an average charges, 1.5 to 2 crs per movie.
But another thing is that ARR is not a money bound person...
he just charges high so that.. he can maintain his class and only 
great directors who really want good music in their film approach 
him..

Also ARR on the other hand had said in an interview that he would 
also  do music for a film for free or less fee provided the script 
and the knowledge of the director and producer exictes him.

This is evident .. when ARR charged very less fee to director Atul 
Agnihotri for his debut directorial film "Dil ne jise apna kaha"
Also the concerts done by ARR for Tsunami relief were free.


thats the greatness of such a beautiful person and his music.

hello friends

i have seen RDB twice its a gr8 movie.

in the movie i noticed one thing that during the Khalbali song the 
whole song is being sung by A R Rahman. but in the cd u hear all the 3 
singers singing.  this is evident when ARR sings " hone hone de nasha, 
khone khone ko hai kya...hai ye to ek jashn."  here in the cd 
we hear all the 3 singers together but in the movie its ARR who sings 
alone.

Hello frnds 

Himesh Reshmiya is really a nice person other than being a good 
composer.

he has just won our hearts by prasing ARR.
i think this happend b,coz he was quiet closely related to ARR 
during the Super Singer show where they both with Adnan Sami judged 
it. and there i think ARR bolwed over Himesh by his humbelness.

Himesh Reshmiya has also said that he would not sing for any music 
director except ARR this is something really gr8 and very inspiring.

one thing that i also like to point out is that in the Sa Re Ga Ma 
show during the judges choice round all the 3 judges (Adesh, Ismile 
and Himesh) gave the contestants ARR,s songs.

this is a really gr8 news and still suprises me that there are 
people like Himesh Reshmiya who even in their peak of their carrer 
praise others who are capable.

HELLO  ALL

LIKE ALL OF U I TOO WATCHED RDB.  LET ME TELL U THAT THE MOVIE IS 
SIMPLY SUPERB.

BUT I WAS QUIET DISAPPOINTED BY THE PICTUREISATION OF SONGS IN THE 
MOVIE!!!

THE SONG "LOOSE CONTROL"  IS SHOWN ONLY HALF AND THE "LUKA CHUPI" 
SONG IS SHOWN WHEN R MADHVAN DIES.  AND HERE TOO THE SONG IS HALF 
AND THE OTHER HALF COMES A BIT LATER.  

 "TU BIN BATAYE" AND THE TITLE TRACK AND KHALBALI  ARE WELL SHOT BUT 
WHT IT LACKS IS GOOD CHOREOGRAPHY WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THE SONG 
MORE ENJOYABLE TO WATCH.

KHOON CHALA  AND  SARFOROSH  SONGS HELP IN TAKING THE MOVIE AHEAD 
AND ARE QUIET HAUNTING AND VERY WELL PUT IN THE MOVIE..


THE  BEST PART IS THE BGM  ESPECIALLY THE LAST BGM  BY ARR  WHEN ALL 
5 OF THEM WALK INTO A RADIO STATION .

pls  ARR or people close to him must do something about this music 
piracy or copying.

b,coz  we dont want the credit of good music of ARR to be given to the 
DUDS...

we all know this yahoo group site is the biggest and the best site for 
AR RAHMAN  fans.   but this site still lacks certain features like  
the  CHAT never  starts!!!
it would be nice if we have links or blogs from where we can diretcly 
download ARR songs..

can  we also  arrange an all members net chat on a certain date and 
time .. like say on ARR,s  Birthday we can have a whole day chat in 
the yahoo music room the whole day!!!

[arr] DIFFERNT FORMS OF RAHMAN IN RDB

hello  friends 

yesterday i heard RDB for the fifth time and i still havent got over 
its hangover...

but something i realised from listenning to RDB is that Rahman has 
come back to his roots...

what i want to say is  that he has given the music which he used to 
give during his early days  as  MD..

the mindblowing song Loose control has some inspiration from the 
Lakeer track "Whats up"..  specially the guitar..

the gr8 song Roobaroo Roshni  has some inspiration from the Vande 
Mataram song " Chanda suraj"  by nasrat fateh and ARR

the Luka Chupi  which is a beautiful song by Lataji  reminds us of 
Roja..  even the song TUM BIN Bataye  by madushree  is  a gem..

the title track is  very good and a complex song i terms of 
orchastrasation and the beats go up and down  thats gr8
 
khoon chala   and  lalkaar  are good but not as good for repeated 
listenning   even kahlbali  may not cater to the young people

but  above all RDB  rocks   and  rocks really hard man

my original intention was  that if  ARR works with  the chopra and 
johar then his music will get more recognised  i dont say that ARR 
needs any introduction in foregin countries but still he will get more 
coverage like LOTR due to their films.

we  know that  yash chopra, karan johar aditya chopra etc  are gr8 
film makers  who have 100% sucess rate ...   

on the other hand  is  AR RAHAMAN  who almost has 99.9% of his music 
making a chart topper ..

then why dont these people join hands for a project  as  this would 
suerly be a deadly combo of a gr8 film and the best music...

yash chopra always signs jatin lalit, sandesh sandiyal or any other 
MD for his film  where as  karan johar has taken SEL(who are nxt 
best after RAHMAN)  for his film  but  they should also work with 
ARR  b,coz he can literary lift the film with his music..


if anyone who knows yash chopra or karan johar or anyone form the 
yashraj camp then pls request them to work with the greatest MD of 
all times 
AR RAHMAN

on 11 th nov  the episode of saregama pa  had the  A R Rahman 
special theme..   all the 12 participants sing great hits of ARR  
and all of the were prepared by their mentors (ismile darbar, jatin 
lalit, adesh , himesh reshmiya)

the  good thing about it was that  after every [articipants 
performance the 5 music directors would praise Rahman for the 
composition ...  this is  a rare site in bollywood where a MD  
praises a MD...

more  after the last performance while giving ratings  adesh 
srivastav gave 4 stars to the participant and said that  he gave 3 
to the singer for his singing ability and the 4 th star he gets 
b,coz of the composition of the track which made the singers voice 
sound good..

even ismile darbar  said that "if  rahman was watching this show 
then he would surely like to make all 12 of them  sing for his album"

this shows the palce ARR has in bollywood

ismile darbar,s  notes and also with his permission

but there was an issue  created when news spread that ismile in an

but  the catch here is  anu mailk is feeling insecured about the 
rising  competition and the sucess of our boss.

this  is  based  on  my  observation  that  ar rahman is  neglecting  
the effective  use  of  chorus  in his  songs  which he  used  to do  
in  rangela  ,  thiruda thiruda  etc  

and  this  strategy  is  being  very well  used  by  shankar-ehsaan-
loy   musicians(who r  also  gr8 fan of  rahman)   which  makes  
their  song sound sweet  


so  i  just  want ar rahman to  get back to his roots  and  make  
effective use of chorus

bollywood site  indiafm.com  has  rated  the music of  mangal pandey 
as  only   2 and half stars 

well  i  have been a bit  taken aback  by  this  b,coz  this  is  the 
same site which  rated  bose   4 stars   it  states that  only  the 
title music , the mujra  and the  takey takey song by  sukhvinder r  
good   rest r  just  passe...

bose   is  such  a  great masterpiece by A R RAHMAN but  still it is 
slated at  no 9,  10  or  12  position in  the  chart ratings   all 
the critics  have  given  it  8-9  out of 10 but still its not getting 
its due .

where  as  other  albums of  other music dir  which are average or 
below  are at no3  ,4 ,5  position  
why  such  a  humiliation  towards good  music...
please  comment..
