Re: [arr] What is the simplest song of ARR??
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Karuthamma - Pooralae (Sad) by far one of the simplest songs of Rahman --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, "arr_raghu" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Are you kidding? > Is Newyork nagaram simplest of ARR? > > > --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, chandrika paturi > wrote: > > > > I think. > > Newyork Nagaram song is the simplest song. > > > > sriram natarajan wrote: > > Well it can also be "Alaipayuthe Kanna"!! > > > > Rafiq Ahmed wrote: > > 'Uyirum neeye... [arr] Re: How u can recognized a song of ARR???
It's a never ending listsome of which include: - Very unique sound engineering, i.e. sounds that you will never hear in other MD's music - Fantastic use of chords, if you hear some amazing chords in a song which really give the music some feeling, you can bet its Rahman - Occasionally, instruments are layered in a way that they come in one at a time - A trademark of Rahman, most of the time, the song ends with one instrument only, i.e. a drone or some other single sound - Use of half or 3/4 beats in rhythms Like I said, a never ending list, these are only a few which im sure others will contribute to --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, "dknayak_loosecontrol" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Dear Friends, > I notice that there is a unique thing in most of the songs of ARR sir. > In your view what is that ?? >
[arr] Re: Rahman and his brilliant chords
I have to totally agree with you there Ajit - his use of chords is unmatched! Another one of my favourites is Yeh Jo Des from Swades, truly fantastic use of chords! --- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, "Ajit" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > One aspect of Rahman's music that I truly find remarkable is his use > of harmonies. This song is just pure brilliance. Yes it does have the 90s feel but in Rahman's own style - the way the layers are crafted, chords and of course the voices of the singers - just too good!
