guys i have heard the latest rahmans tamil composition and i liked them very much. They seem to be suited for both the masses and classes/ The main advantage of these songs is that they can be played even in Tea Stalls of chennai, which is a huge boom to our boss. They sound to be very convincing to the masses,especially the 2,3,4,songs. very wrong statement saying Devi does'nt copy our Boss.. He copies the loops of our boss..He tries to imitate the recording quality of our Boss.. I feel Yuvan,Harris and Joshua are very fine composers than this guy from telugu.. There is no consistency in his albums..He composed many..but the songs you mentioned are transit which will be listened at that time only until the film shows. And the new film promises to be bigger - mammoth is the right word - than his earlier flicks Lagaan and Swades. "That's true," Ashutosh informs me, as we chat over breakfast in a London hotel, "It's a historical. It's based on Emperor Akbar and Jodhabai," he divulges. Incidentally, the film-maker has registered a number of titles with the Title Registration Committee of a producers' association. "The title might be Akbar-Jodha," he states. Working on a historical is akin to walking on a tightrope. You need to get the facts right before you embark on the principal shooting. "That's true," he smiles, "Right now, I am working on the script, but would definitely be consulting the historians before I commence filming. You need to get into the skin of each character before you are ready to roll." And when will the project take-off? "Well, even if I work 24 x 7 starting today, I wouldn't be able to roll before February next year (smiles). Jokes apart, the film will take off in 2006, not this year for sure. There's tremendous pre-production work to be done. There's tremendous detailing that will go into this film," he affirms. Reportedly, he is in talks with both Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan for the role of Emperor Akbar. "Believe me, nothing is confirmed yet. And I don't want to rush into the project till my paperwork is complete. Not the star cast, not the technical crew, not even the financiers or co-producers have been finalized," he pronounces. But there's talk that producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala might co-produce the project. True? "Well, we did discuss the possibility of working together on a film, but nothing is official yet. Right now, my priority is to complete the script. The remaining things will fall into place later," he discloses. Will it be aimed at the international audiences? And will it be a bilingual (Hindi-English)? "As of now, I've decided to make it in Hindi. It's definitely not a bilingual. The subject will find tremendous identification in India, than Hollywood. Like, for instance, if the Queen has to request the Emperor, the Hindi cinegoers would accept her pleading and cajoling, but the international audiences would expect the Queen to be more vocal and demanding when it comes to addressing an issue. Hi Guys..., The following may be disappointed for most of the fans...but I cant hold it any more.. See our Boss should concentrate on films which will release intime. He has already burnt his hands by giving excellent music to some of the films which are delayed unknowingly like Kabhi Na Kabhi,Dil Ne Jaise Apana Kaha,Engineer,Yelelo,shikaar, etc.,and many others. What I mean is that our Boss cannot go down in the eyes of the public and especially youth,When Yuvan,Joshua,Devi sri...are giving music that our Boss has done in 1991 itself. Doing 'The Rising' is ok but see the effect of it on our Boss... already people are tired of waiting for it...and remember guys Films Music is the first impact on the public..so with this state of mind everybody..even if the songs are exceptionally good they feel O.K. Big budget films should be scheduled planned like LAAGAN and Swadesh...through which our Boss got international acclaim. So Sam keep on waiting for these...as I see it its BF,GodFather will release earlier these films.. ya Vishwesh...you are true...let me end this thread with my msg... Hi my fellow beings, Many people try to make our Boss down by making some useless allegations. These are the people who have tried so hard to mimic the trend created by our Boss in 1991 with Roja. See the facts are like no MD has come as a force as our Boss...with the first film songs being heard even far North-East,national award etc., so at that time those people who are able to mimic IR in someway and making their being are scared of our Wizard...and tried to make him down with false allegations like "AR is repetitive" until 1999. But with Dilse and Taal he made them much more scary by making them one of the alltime hit in the mainstream cinema which no other MD from south has done until now. Now coming to our Pavana's critics...they are just like the normal ones.If we can research every MD has taken inspiration from the carnatic classical. Just imagine the situation of the song from maymadham...and interpret if he had used it wrongly. See our Boss has never exaggerated like any other MD even if he has chance to give masala music.Even his music for Rajn's films are inspired by him and they are from his heart and not picked from other people. To make a masala song hit the MD's are insisted by producers to incude some beats thats all. You can have many beats and sequences that are discovered by our Boss like the ones used in Thiruda thiruda...Bombay flute sequences...and the humming of Noel james in his early films... . Instead every MD should be grateful to our Boss as he is the one who enlightened the role of MD in a film.Having MD's photos on the audio cassettes etc., How come Yuvan is making waves in his early years...because this trend is created by our Boss long time back 1991. Anyway Our Boss came like a Tsunami in 1991 leaving ALL the other existing crap crying until now...
