ஸ்லம்டாக் மில்லினேர் படத்துக்காக இரு ஆஸ்கர் விருதுகள் பெற்ற ஏ ஆர்
ரஹ்மான், இந்த ஆண்டும் ஆஸ்கர் விருதுக்காக பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

ஸ்லம்டாக் மில்லினேர் படத்துக்குப் பிறகு 'கப்பில்ஸ் ரீட்ரிட்' என்ற
ஹாலிவுட் படத்துக்கு இசை அமைத்தார் ரஹ்மான். இந்த படத்தின் பின்னணி இசை
வெளியீட்டு விழா சென்னையில் நேற்று நடந்தது.

விழாவில், கலந்து கொண்ட ஏ.ஆர்.ரகுமான், நிருபர்களிடம் கூறுகையில்,
"கப்பில்ஸ் ரீட்ரிட் படத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற ஒரு பாடல் 2010-ம் ஆண்டின்
ஆஸ்கார் விருது போட்டி பிரிவில் இடம் பெறுகிறது.

இது நான் எதிர்பார்க்காத ஒன்று. எனக்கு ரொம்ப பெருமையாகவும்,
மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும் இருக்கிறது.

இந்த படத்தில் 6 பாடல்கள் இடம் பெறுகின்றன. அதில், ஒரு தமிழ் பாடலும் உண்டு.
'குறு குறு கண்கள்...' என்று தொடங்கும் அந்த பாடலை நானே
எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்..." என்றார் ரஹ்மான்.
