Hello again Its been years since i was part of this group...but Never
before i was so compelled to write something twice within 24hrs  to this
group.

just a short message.. you dont like VV .." U musst see a doctor for
yourself" ...saluting the magician again...

since last 3 days ..i have come across lots of reviewers complaning about
some song or the entire album...

i dont understand tamil by the way(am from AP) 

coming back...
i got to hear those songs today and i was like ..."have they gone mad..or
did my taste change ...all of sudden??"
all the tracks  are so beautiful 
and  whats wrong with Aaromale??..man! what a track it is...i liked it on
first hearing itself..and those uproars about the 'irritating factor'..
.i was waiting for something irritating to come up as the song went on..and
it finished..and i was like "What..wheres the irritating thing. this is
amazing stuff by rahman"

haha...go have deepavali..dushera..sankranthi at a time..listen to VV...

So many films of ARR get shelved ...WHY

is it that it happens with everyone and  we take note of only ARR films..
or is it that it happens only with ARR?

whatever may be the reason i want ARR to work with Yashchopra(i dont think
his movies are great but its like biggest director according to bollywood +
greatest music composer..)
sanjay leela bhansalimore or less same reason
Ram gopal varma(hopefully for a good film)
faran akhtar

and ofcourse karan johar atleast for the publicity he provides...

this is the use of this community.
when i listened to songs of ATMalthought there is nothing completely new
and refreshing ...but songs are quite catchy and good to listen.a very good
album by ARR.
but its the remix that did hurt me ...i didnt expect ARR to something of
that kind.i felt he has done something wrong with that.by the way am from
andhra and i dont understand even a bit of tamil.its only from this
community that i came to know that its a remix.

when i saw one of our members pointing out that remix os by krishna
chetan.am surprised and i felt happy because my perception of ARRs and his
music has not gone wrong ...thank u very much

but if a fan like me doesnt see credits then what might be the case with
people who just download songs ,listen them just once and start deciding its
fate

i know nothing abt music.i only listen to it.but i have seen many people
commenting on music in depth .Especially in their reviews of an arr
album.Iguess there are many composers tooo in this group.

So i would be happy if they share their knowledge with us.
they may tell us what are the raagas and all those stuff.or say abt music
composition.I hope this discussion to be restricted to just ARR songs.(I
dont want to myself to responsible for any controversy)

all i want to do is to start a healthy discussion abt details of ARRs
compositions.
Many times i read ARR mentioning 'i used so and so raaga OR this has so and
so element in it'.i really dont understand those things.I remember
there used to be the  kind of discussions i mentioned above.like
 picking a song and what kind of effect it has one oneself.
then everyone used to give their own feelings related to the song.
ofcourse my request for u all is to give a in depth analysis of a ARR
song.NO not the reviews.
i hope someone would be interested to tell us listeners more abt ARR's
music.something we never identified before.

come on guysplz dont use the word copied simply.do u like if someone says arr copied. even if there are similarities u say it may be slightly inspired.then y to blame other MDs immediately.there is a very small similarity in both of those 
songs.koi tumsa nahin is avery good song & it slightly reminds us of do kadam that too only at the 'koi tumsa nahin" lyric.thats it.may be rajesh was inspired by that song.its not even exactly same.but thank u for this information as i was breaking my head since few days as whenever i listen to koi tumsa song it reminds me of something & i couldnt get what was it.

hey pavan RGV  wanted make sholay remake long back but couldnt get the rights.he is not exactly remaking it .he is just using the same concept of sholay .so he named it like that.he himself confessed in an interview that its a bold step .
but even in the recent interview i didnt saw anything abt rahman related to this project.also boss himself said that the producers didnt apprach him at all in stanford interview(correct me if i am wrong).so y was this inf given in those websites.

i think rahman should reduce giving importance to story line.u see most of the hit music is from pure commmercial movies.not many such commercial movies have good & different scripts.if anumalik can give such good music for Mein hoo naa or any recent hit movie u take imagine what rahman can 
do.i think rahman wants different situations for songs.not the common romantic numbers.he doesnt get such different situational songs to compose for these commercial movies.also for last 5 years i have not seen him working with a new director or with young director(in hindi).hes working with bengal,mani,shankar,asuthosh 
etc.he should also work with young breed of MDs who have lot of talent in them.i remember the response for nee manasu naaku telusu(E 20 U ..)  & boys.from my college mates.most of them loved it & danced to those 
numbers.so if rahman works for such films more he will  reach masses once again.we should not forget that rahman shot fame with such  films those days.A swades ,MP,Bose doesnt reach masses as that of commercial films.but i cant understand one 
thing.he deos that only with hindi films.He chooses such commmercial films in telugu & tamil but in hindi he bounds to script for choosing a film.Also hes costly & takes some time(sometimes).even that is also making some of the new commercial directors not to apprach for 
him.otherwise who doesnt want rahman to b MD for their film.this is just my opnion of why rahmans music is not at its deserved position & why other MDs getting better sales.

i think a incident at my college clears this matter.as usual our group of friends are chatting abt films & i was busy in wrting record & listenig to 
them.they started with praising keeravani  & then devi sri prasad .after sometime arguments started abt whos the 
best.some hated reshmmiya for overdose of publicity , some said hes sensation then yuvan is consistent then harris is the best & it continued.most of my frinds dont know that i am ARR fan & i was feeling uneasy as ARRs name didnt appear in anybodys list of their best & 
favourite.i was waiting to hear ARRs name.i thinkn almost after 15 min as the arguments & discussions proceeded one from the group mentioned ARR.he said" himesh likes ARR.he will sing only for ARR it seems".then one more said " come 
on.who will miss chance to work with ARR "."leave ARR .he cant be compared to these MDs""but hes not getting hits naa""all these current MDs cant reach that peak""its like sachin is rahman  & dhoni,sehwag are these himesh & yuvan"
"but sachin is failing a lot.""we expect a bit too much.how can he make 100 in every match.even rahman is making a 50 or 80.but earler he used to make 100's.that it""ya ya.rahman is giving good music but  it is those high expectations that are killing some sales"

not only those.i hear ARRs bits of tunes used for most of programs here in telugu channels.TV9 which is a sensation in telugu uses mostly ARRs tunes from movies as music for their programs.i found it very 
amazing.as the tunes they use are not just the most popular ones but also from meenaxi,WOHE,LOBS & more...yesterday i saw a program in ETV(a telugu channel) which has Mayilirage tune.a program BIOSCOPE (Latest fims ads)in gemeni use thee thee from donga donga(thiruda thiruda).ETV2 one more news channel use instrumental version(last but one song of WOHE) of WOHE title song for end credits of aprogram.& more & more & moreee..in many other languages channels.

guys,most of the telugu poeple might know the new film of yuvan in telugu RAAM.listen to the song nuvvena from it.the way the song starts off exactly matches with the tune of Anarkali from Kangalal Kaidhu Sei.only the background beats are 
different.its just like another version of anarkali.though the resemblence is in first part,still  i am confused abt one thing.yuvan might have listened to anarkali for sure.how could he incorporate that

i agree with all who support critiscism of ARR songs.i love ARR songs that doesnt mean i love his each & every composition.today we love him  & his music because he didnt give any chance for us to criticize his music for several 
years.most of us are just listeners .we dont have a knowledge of music but we still judge music & singers .when we listen to a song its just the overall effect of song that matters for a generic listener & its him who decides quality of a 
song.i never listen to ghazals but that doesnt mean they are bad.its just that i find them boring.so i think we can openly discuss such topics .its just that we are trying to match our opinions with others.polls are meant for same 
thing.we all here love his music ,wait breathlessly for every release of his albums,amaze everytime whenwe listen to his music.also these songs are outcome of story,time available,director ,stress ,environment,health etc.so
 its natural for everyMD to give bad  songs  sometimes.ARR does it the least infact very very few .i think they are in single digit number.i think vidyasagar is best example for how all these things matter.He is a telugu person yet to get recognition  here in 
A.P after all this long carrer but hes a big MD in tamil industry.i thought he will get that in his latest in telugu film Bangaram .but thats below average .so producing a score that satisfies listeners almost everytime is only done by ARR.
i think the best by ARR is ..Bombay theme,songs from roja ,padmavyuham,lukka chuppi & many moreworst is markendeya(NANI),rang dole(Mr.Romeo),few in Gangmaster & Super police.

hey ,many seems to ask this film's music.though u cant get its CD.there are chances for u to get the cassette.i am from hyderabad .i have padmavyuham.if anbody from hyderabad wants it can contact me.ofcourse lets try to buy original Cds but i am sure u cant get padmavyuham CDs as i coudnt even get a 
cassette.wheni asked in supreme music in koti they said companies stopping production of those cassettes.i too have only 4 songs which my uncle gave me.he said he downloaded .also i think all hyderabad fans send your yahoo addresses to whom ever hyderbadi u meet so that we can chat at some time.

i dont think many non-tamil fans will be having this film songs.there's a song 'Theekuruvil' .its fascinating man.i have listened to it by now 30 times.yesterday my friend gave me them.he said theres agift for u.he gave me thhis film 
songs.i dont know that rahman has done many tamil films which r not dubbed into telugu.i am frm hyderabad.i am still amazed .'how do this man produce such wonderful music?'ofcourse i have udhayaa , aah .now i am in search of all those albums in fact rare gems that i missed all these days.
i dont understand even a single bit of tamil.so a question.what type of song is 'Theekuruvil'.i mean is it a duet or something else??.i am lazy in writing e-mails.so dont mind as i am changing topic here...
i have listened to V V yesterday.except vennileve song there's no song that matches even haris's own standards.i was shocked .there's a song Karka Karka that is just like crap remixes  in hindi.Paartha Mudhal has same beats of  'hrudayam ekkadunnadi' (i dont know what is it in tamil.) in 
ghajini.i like HJ music actually.but this time i dont know what happened to him.now if we talk about pattiyal .here also only one song is better.its dei namma.a fast paced one.but not bad.but that starting piece of poga poga was really irritating(its like a remixed hindi song).i think yuvan gave that to his assistant to 
compose.after looking at the discussion abt these overtaking godfather i was excited & downloaded these songs to check whether they really have that potential.my answer is "IMPOSSIBLE".TAMILIANS DONT FORGET TO TELL ME MEANING OF LYRICS OF THEEKURUVIL & WHO ARE THE SINGERS.
