[arr] Re: semi arr - what is your favorite quote by a musician (including AR)

2010-08-03 Thread rakeshrach
That's a great quote by AR. Does anybody know its source? (Newspaper?
Interview? Date?) I've been curating Rahman's memorable quotes with
citations at whenrahmanspeaks.com and
could do with anyone's help in identifying the source of his quotes over
the years. -Rakesh

Re: [arr] A website for Rehna Tu

2009-11-25 Thread rakeshrach

Thank you all for visiting and for your kind words.

I designed this website a while ago to highlight the song's vocal, lyrical and
compositional depths. I'm not well-versed in Hindi, so it was only with help
from friends that I was able to translate the poetry. I fear that the poetic
sense may have been lost in translation, but hopefully the meaning has been
conveyed and that the music itself makes up for any flaws of my doing.

All your wonderful comments have inspired me to complete my next project, which
will showcase several more of Rahman's overlooked compositions.

Thanks again,
Rakesh Rachamalla
