The CD cover credits Ranjit Barot for additional programming for the track in 
question. So it might be Ranjit, or even Rahman himself or probably a loop. 
After all the flute piece runs just for a fleeting few seconds ,have we not 
heard instruments playing in the similar pattern in many songs composed by 
different composers ... more of using the instruments in the same way, how many 
hollywood movies we have seen having violin movements in the same pattern.

[arr] 'Arindhum..' song sounds like Meenaxi

The intro part of the song 'Yela yela' from Arindhum ariyamalum by Yuvan Shankar Raja sounds pretty much inspired from Cyclist's Rhythm from Meenaxi - The tale of 3 cities...the usage of cycle bells and the percussion that follows('thappatai' i think).What you guys think?
 
BTW..anybody with any link on Rahman's reaction for TIME's selection?
