The film starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan has not been released only in Rajasthan state because of the protests by Karni Sena activists against screening of the film.
The Rajputs of Rajasthan say there was no love between Emperor Akbar and Jodha Bai and no marriage took place between them. Since the film shows just the opposite, there have been protests against releasing the film in Rajasthan. Even Rajputs based in US are ignoring the film. Apart from this, 'Jodha Akbar' is doing very well in other parts of India and overseas.
