This has been the nth time that ARR's brilliant score has been wasted by the directors. i am talking about the sweet cube here.... How many times will this happen? ARR spends so much time in creating such wonderful music and songs, but the movies doesn't match upto it. ARR should be careful in choosing the movies hereafter, i personally think he should give much priority to the storyline than the big names and producers. I guess Harris has few failures compared to ARR so far because of that. Each and every review i read so far about the sakarakatti has been bad, they all agree that only good thing in that movie is the music and BGM. I couldnt control my disappointment when i read the reviews of the sweet cube. The movie has been hyped up so much but fell flat on its first show. The reviews also say that kadalil vilunthen is far better than SK. Now Nakka Mukka will overtake Taxi Taxi and Marudhanni just because of their respective storylines.
Can you guys please throw in some movies name that bombed at the box office even though they had beautiful music by ARR. I remember the following: Kangalal Kaithu Sei Kadhal Virus Boys (to an extent) ATM Baba Duet E20U18 En Swasa kaatre SOK Paarthale Paravasam Rhythm Tajmahal Udhaya Uyire If you see the above list, it even includes the big stalwarts like Maniratnam, Shankar, Kathir, Bharathiraja..... I have mentioned only the tamil movies, there is a big list in HINDI too. Please throw in some names that matches the above category. Whenever ARR music release i am so happy and when i come to know that film bombed at the BO because of the story or screenplay, it makes me so sick. I couldnt find proper words to let out my disappointment. Thanks Sath
