Very True.. I was doing a course on music production, some time ago and all of us had to take one of their favorite songs for dissection and rest of the class would analyse the song and we would have a discussion on the production elements. Needless to say, my choice was "Chandralekha". After discussing the plausible techniques, every one wanted to know who the composer was, and the year of composition. It was kind of difficult for my classmates (none of them are familiar with Indian film industry) to believe that this song was done in early 90's, just when electronic dance production was just beginning to take shape. It was interesting to see how the overall texture of the song was enhanced by clever use of panning, even on percussion tracks. Ofcourse now, few of them have almost all ARR CD's and follow his albums more closely even though they don't understand a word (other than the english words added to the soup for rythmic purposes). Hey Guys, Well, i have reading through a few of the mails that has been sent and its a bit dissapointing to know that our fans here can't seem to really enjoy and understand our young maestro's piece of work. I'm not saying every one in the group but just a few of them. I think ARR always is ahead of what the current India music directors are. For example, HJ and YSR gives good music but they are only now up to the standard of what ARR did 7-8 years ago in Kadhal Desam or Love Birds (the song No Problem). When Boys was first realeased the same comments were passed, the songs are too techy and its noisy and etc but now most of the music directors are begining to follow that trend. I think our boss is good.. i'm sorry i think he is damn good in what he is doing. He has the couragwe to try something new and he always gives something new. I think by now many of u woyuld have realised that in the currently realesed Ah Aah, 2 song have the same tune or melody. Just compare this 2 songs in the movie "Marengkothiye" and "Mayiliregeh". The first one is done in a modern techy version and the second one is done in a classic kind of a style. This is the reason we get addicted to ARR songs after only hearing a few times to it.
