Please refere to the Music credits, its not Rahman. It is Krishna chetan. It
says the remix of Ponmagal by Krishna chetan. Our boss will not do thos non
sense.

The director has said in an interview recently that it was Rahman who 
did the song Ponmagal Vandhal for the film while discussing for the 
songs with the director and Vijay. And it was not after any second 
thoughts
