I would have been happy if yahoo groups had 'like' option as in Facebook.. :o) You have put in exactly what I was thinking.. Its sheer stupidity to compare Endhiran with VTV and other AR albums.. Yeah. I like the concept of constructive criticism. Re: [arr] For those who are bashing Enthiran's music....
I , for one, (not a Rajini fan , but definitely love him) can not imagine a Rajinikanth Movie with songs like these - Aaromale (when Rajini's character decides to create a new business venture) - Fanaa (Intro song for Rajini as a playboy) - Tu Bin Bataaye (an intimate romantic song set as Rajini finally proposes to the heroine) Endhiran is just perfect the way it is :-) Rahman knows best. [arr] For those who are bashing Enthiran's music....
...I have a question for you (maybe this does not include anyone in this group) Given the type of film that this is, the director, Rajinikant fans, etc., how else would you have liked the music to have turned out? Now, I'm not asking this question to those who have specific and intelligent criticisms of points in this album (like sound, lyrics, etc.), but for those who are calling this album a complete washout. Please give us your suggestions as to how Rahman should have scored differently given the type of movie in mind. Did you want soulful, soft, melodious numbers like in Zubeidaa? Sufi music? Kathak music? Please enlighten us! My point is that if want to bash a music album completely that's tied to a film, maybe you should direct some of your ire towards the type of movie and the director who extracts the music from the MD and has a say as to which songs would be allowed and not allowed. For Enthiran, Rahman had so score a type of music that was apt for the film at hand, just like all his film albums. If the music is not your cup of tea, say, "this music is not my taste, but maybe others will like it", but please stop the bashing and accusing Rahman of this, that, and everything else! He's not making private albums!!!
