Song 1 - Guzarish song

Nice start is how a song initially gets through into audience's heart. It walks
directly through straight and later on it becomes a nostalgia. This particular
song is of that type. The way Sonu Nigam hums for initially and in the
background and in the end, sets the pitch for Javed Ali. The little
inexperienced Javed Ali hands the baton from where Sonu starts and handles it
nicely till the end. There is no much scope for Sonu here, but without that
emphatic start and the end the song would feel soulless.

A.R.Rahman's new found singer Javed Ali completely steals the show with this
song. This flag bearer song is rightly mixed with proportions of melodic beats,
mandolin (by Seenu), and all other instrumentation. No flaws at all. Prasoon
Joshi's lyrics also starts to haunt you once you are addicted to the song. "Tu
meri adhuri pyaas pyaas" shows the zest and passion of love. Simply amazing
song.

Five stars for the song.

Song 2 - Aye Bachu

The song starts with a little disturbed or unclear vocal and by the time music
starts it really bangs. It really bursts into a party mode, not fully though
but yes in bits and pieces somewhere between. Suzanne hits the right chord and
pace for the song.

The pace of the song varies from stance to stance. There are at least three
different pace a slower one while starting with lyrics "Jhoom le jhoomjhama",
it gets little more pace starting "Halka sa nasha hai" and reaches the maximum
by "Suno yaaron suno ek raaz gehra".

The lyrics are also like flying and seductive. I personally liked the one
stance starting with "Halka sa nasha hai masti ki wine mein".

But before getting to enjoy the song in full, it ends abruptly at 3:40 minutes.
I had to listen to a second time to fulfil the missing part.

Three stars for the song.

Song 3 - Kaise Mujhe

Benny Dayal and Shreya Ghoshal are the singers. But I would like to give a
preference in the components first starting with Shreya, lyrics of the song,
and then Benny. Do not know why I always tend to wait till 2:56 minutes to hear
Shreya sing even though Benny does a decent job. I would have really loved a
full version by Shreya also in the CD. She makes the song so smooth and
soothing to ears that I feel emotionless for 1:30 minutes which she sings.

But this does not in any way discredit Benny's good role. The lyrics of the
song is clearly audible as it is a slow paced melodious song and thereby
providing with you a sense of enjoying the song by singing with it. I recommend
to hear this sound with the best of headphones available in the market.

Five stars for the song.

Song 4 - Behka

Shake you body, baby. Yes this is what I thought and what I did while hearing
this song, even for the first time. A peppy number, where Rahman is playing
with all types of instruments (though I am not clear which all, and who cares
if it entertains you).

There appears to be some distorted music in background at pause of vocals, and
it is clearly audible at start till 0:23 minutes. I initially imagined it to be
some trouble with the music system I am playing, but later on was noticing the
same distorted pitches hanging around with silent beats. Nice work. Can't
imagine what all are getting into Rahman's kitty to make music. The Sax by
Martin is also noticeable.

Hear this song in a 5.1 system with a little bass over treble and dance (even
if you do not know), and shake your body baby.

Three and a half stars for the song.

Song 5 - Latoo

Ooh. Is this song sung by the same Shreya Ghoshal? I cannot believe this. Such
an electrification in her voice and high tempo ed Shreya, simply unbelievable.
I had to check and recheck the printed label on the CD, for any mistakes. There
are no mistakes, and Shreya astonishes everyone. No one would have thought that
Shreya can deliver such a note, and pitch. All praises for her.

A sure hit among "Shaadi's", this number is a reply by Rahman for the "Jab we
met" item "Mauja"

Three and a half stars for the song.

Song 6 - Kaise Mujhe (Instrumental)

Rahman's keyboard weaves magic along with Shreya's humming. They both makes you
floating in the air. Therefrom flute (performed by Kiran) handles the track,
and it is very interesting. But a full vocal number with Shreya singing would
have made this album more appropriate.

Three stars for the song.

Overall album rating 4.5 stars

At last, I would like to pay my homages to Late H.Sridhar, who has been a
fitting companion to Music Director A.R.Rahman starting from Roja (also he has
worked with Ilayaraja), till Ghajini.
