U r one of the rarest and luckiest of fans Surely, at the same time, ur mail prooves that ARR is gentle and kind enough and so easily excessible .BUT MIND U, HE IS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PURE HEART AND PURE LOVE FOR MUSIC...[like all those who could meet him at Jaipur] MY THROAT CHOKED AS I READ UR DESCRIPTION OF UR MEETING WITH HIM . I too had planned for attending Jaipur concert...but family duties came first and my wishes took a back seat. The way this concert is described, it surely must've been a larger success than the one at Delhi. A free entry is not a free entry. More than 60 percent of the seats are reserved and kept designated. The remaining portion was the free entry area and very silly of the organisers to have done that

He requested to sir that he'd sing for Pukar, and the gentleman musician smiled and said "ok, see you at the venue" .Cried Gaurav.Such was the greatness in the man. Then came my moment. My most awaited moment. To have rubbed shoulders with Rahman and to get deep into prayers. To read Namaaz with him, that too on a Friday, which we believe is a like a mini Eid. To have read the Du'a with him. To have wished the angels together. Rahman no doubt imbibed in me a great sense of Sufism through his music, but this prayer surely made me a more spiritual person in life. Rahman would close his eyes and not open till his prayer got over. Dressed in a white kurtha and a green topi-ARR won the hearts of the people around him. And God. That was the man AR Rahman. I wish to follow this, with the magician musician AR Rahman. Evening.8 pm. The police in jaipur were shocked. They failed to understand that for years, they never saw such a huge gathering in this city, what had made the rather conserved people of jaipur come out and break barricades. A free entry is not a free entry. More than 60 percent of the seats are reserved and kept designated. The remaining portion was the free entry area and very silly of the organisers to have done that-as the crowd came out of proportions.They broke barricades.They forced upon themselves a lathi charge. Dudes ! that must be wonderful experience. 20th in chennai mean its going to be April 20th, Sunday or June 20th, Friday. April is much possible, one day gap is enough for them from dubai concert. And the set of songs they are performing almost everywhere, dont need rehearsal at all. Only the singers new to stage like Javed Ali need to rehearse. Ar used to choose Fridays or Saturdays for concert & not often on sundays. There is a map where all, Ar performed. The concert was a great one..It was nice to catch up with other group members too..Gomzy,Shahnavas,Vithur and Nazeef..We had a good time.. Rahman was performing as part of Rajasthan Day celebrations organised by Govt of Rajasthan.They had lined up series of events for a week.(Hema malini show..Rahat Fate ali Khan,Sunidhi Chauhan..and others..) Rahman was asusual great...It was a packed audience..may be around 25000-3 people i suppose... We all did meet up Rahman.Rahman confirmed that Chennai concert is on..He said its on 20th...Sorry..i forgot to ask him 20th of which month..You know..you just forget everything when you are with him... Coming to the Concert... The song selections were really good.People were going crazy for Jodhaa Akbar,Guru,RDB songs.. Rahman forgot the lyrics of Vande Matram song inbetween :( There were some great modifications in Ghana ghana,Main Vari songs.. Azeemon Shahn Shensha - Rukumani Beat - Veera Pandi Kotayile was performed again.. The dances and the set up for each song was really fantastic..(easily better than the delhi concert..) Javed Ali was a revelation..He was just awesome... Vaji Vaji (Mix of Hindi and Tamil Lyrics) was also performed. Cheif minister of Rajasthan feliciated Rahman Just for the Rahman show..The venue size was extended and there was a huge turnout...We saw the show from diffrent angles :) At the end,It was a good effort from Rahman and his team and people of Jaipur really enjoyed it. Rahman showed to Jaipur..Why he is A.R Rahman :-) .Everyone was intrested in seeing rahman perform.Police had a tough time in controlling the crowd..A Police guy was like.."You didnt have so much crowd all these days...",Then..my eyes lit up..and i said to him.."Sirji..Yeh A.R Rahman hai.." The concert is part of Rajasthan Day Celebrations which go on for a week from 24th March to 30th March 2008. There are a series of functions planned. and every evening at 8 PM, there is a musical show . 25th March 2008 - There is a Dance Ballet by Hema Malini at 8 Pm in Amrudoo Ka Bagh 26th - Sunidhi Chouhan 8PM 27th - Rahet Fateh Ali Khan - 8 Pm *28th - ARR 's Musical Evening - 8 PM * 29th - Shreya Ghosal and Kunal Ganjawala - Musical Evening 8 Pm So. I believe Sunidhi , Shreya would be performing in ARR concert also.. Hopefully. The venue is Amrudoo Ka Bagh ( Opposite to Amar Jawan Jyoti , Near New Vidhan Sabha ) about 6kms from Railway Station and 11 Kms from the airport in sanganer.
