LOL,.Vijay.. .Then I hardly see numbers crossing 500..

Everybody would say that they would like to buy BGM's legally, but how many
apart from we fans would actually buy them???

We can get signatures of lacs of people..but I would be surprised if at least
1000 out of these go out and buy them...

And moreover if a label decides  to release bgm's of every movie(older
ones)  separately, then sorry to say..I dont see it succeeding nor feasible for
the label...If a combination of say..bgm's of 5-10 movies are released, then I
am sure it would find more buyers and good market base too..

Sorry if I am being pessimist here..

MG stands for Money Guarantee right ??

Money would not be a issue.. Provided it isnt too high. we are a big number,
and ARR fans are united for a good cause anytime.

It can be worked out.

Re: [arr] Let's go the legal way?

2008-10-30 Thread Ranjith K
Why cant we ask them to post it on some online music store. Then they
wouldnt need a minimum guarantee as the cost associated would be much
lesser. I guess ARR would have already given them the BGMs and additional
tracks just like the songs. They just have to encode it and upload.

Sometime back when Amith approached a music company for a release of Tu Hi
Mera Dil, they had asked for a minimum guarantee of 100 i guess. But that
was a re-release.

ranjith

[arr] Let's go the legal way?

2008-10-30 Thread Aravind AM
Hi,

With Amith making it clear that is definitely not legal to rip and share BGMs,
the only way left for us is to approach the original rights owners with an
appeal to provide OST CDs.

We can do a signature campaign to show our strength and convince the rights
owners that there will be demand for the DVDs. We are a group of more than
13000, we can do something effectively!

If online petitions and signatures are not convicing enough, we can even get
physical signatures.. One person from each city can take responsiblity for
arraninging a meet, taking the signatures, and sending these by courier to one
point where it can be collated! If we are on, I can take responsibility for
Chennai...

We can even approach the rights owners of older movies of ARR - Roja, Pudhiya
Mugam, Bombay etc., for which it is technically not possible to get voiceles
BGMs from DVDs using the techniques we use currently. If we succeed, we can get
clear voiceless BGMs from these movies as well..

Pls let me know what you all think about this idea.

Cheers,
Aravind
