before i addicted to mr rahman, i use to love jatin-lalit kind of music.i alwiz love his song in DDLJ n KKHH.then i found that ismail darbar great too.what he did in HDDCS.. brilliant! ilove to watch nimbooda.that was the 1st song that i enjoy so much...very beautiful...(including aish )then come mr rahman... i found that he has great music too but but with bad picturisation... i guess... but his song is the best for ur ears... ismail darbar wasn't bad there are few song that you can't denied he is good. HDDCS( nimbooda, dhol bhaje, albela, aakhon ki,), DEVDAS (dola re dola, maar dala ,shisha se, woh chand jaisi ladki-not in the film in malaysia)and deewange (err.. may be we need mani ratnam or rajiv menon orkaran johar or SLB to make the song get recognition). IDhas his own type of music (if it is same as ARR music people will call him copycat).when its come to music, its subjective.his music isnt bad there are some killers too.. but if he condemn other music director (in this case mr rehman) he has bad attitude not bad music... this is just my opinion.. as far as kisna goes hum hai iss pal yahan was a very good song much better then all of the other songs in the films. and ismail darbar has only done well when he has worked with sanjay leela bhansali other then that his albums have been damp squibs! tera jadoo chal gaya, deewangee, baaz. all very bad. leave our boss aside, even shankar-ehsaan-loy and mm kreem are way ahead of ismail darbar. dheere jhalna from paheli is phenomal! and i really loved the songs in bunty aur babli and kal ho na ho amongst others!
