Re: [arr] Now is the perfect time to release Connections
i agree with chord we have heard but its supporting piracy! we haven been able to hear it @ the best quality. A global cd relase will do the album justice. Nokia is not doing itself a favour by releasing it in NOKIA in India wat abt the rest of us ard the world we maybe using nokia but cant get hold of it! its not even in the nokia music store, at least if it was it would not be so bad... As a music lover myself, the internet version of Connections is full of skips, missed beats and other sonic blemishes that I really don't appreciate for such a beautiful album. I enjoy the internet version purely for the music content, yes, but I do miss CD prof perfect quality. And if I'm speaking for myself, I am confident that many other audiophiles would agree with me. Nokia wants to keep Connections as part of their product sales, which means you have to buy a Nokia product to listen to this album, unless you are happy with the flawed internet version, which amounts to piracy, and for which many are forced to content with due to lack of store sales and many not wanting to buy a Nokia product. For me, Connections is not just another run of the mill album. It's a beautifully crafted piece of art by ARR that deserves to be showcased through CD quality and packaging. In fact, sales of Connections would probably benefit from a CD release since it's associated with ARR, who has just come off of one of his most globally successful periods and having a brand name quality assurance, not to mention a drought in the music industry at the moment. I don't know if the music of Connections is helping to sell the 5800, but I do know that a lot of people who either don't want to or cannot afford to either buy a Nokia product or don't want to commit piracy are missing out on a fantastic quality album by ARR, his first private album since Vande Mataram. And not just Indians. ARR is a global phenom. I know many Westerners who would be enthralled to hear a crystal quality version of Connections. I know I'm not speaking for the common man who is not into sonic quality issues, but I do believe that ARR would benefit a lot if Connections came on CD globally. I haven't heard Connections. In fact first time I am hearing about it despite my false pride as a hardcore Rahmaniac. Shame on Nokia if they are not putting it in market. 2009/5/17 Gopal Srinivasan > > > What is it that "music lovers" have lost out on? Is there anyone > around who hasn't heard Connections? What is it that "music lovers" have lost out on? Is there anyone around who hasn't heard Connections? And what's the point around business?
