Nice move and what else makes BGMs sound great than lossless.

Sabesh-Murali is entrusted with the re-recording of ARR's films  like 
En Swasa katre, Star, Jodi etc.. These few had had re-recording by 
Sabesh-Murali. They assisted ARR since he is very busy.

But usually thes emovies are by unpopular directors such as pravin 
Kanth (ratchagan, Jodi, Star) and K.Ravi ( Mr Romeo , ESK)

Iraniyan starring the long time actor Murali and Meena
Also in some older ARR composed movies i have seen the credits stating
"additional music by Sabesh Murali"

En Swase Katreonly half is by Sabesh Murali...i think from 
starting of the movie up to halfor  b4 that...it clearly had ARR's 
touch...after that is clearly by Sabesh-Murali...we can easily 
different shade between them i hope im correct...hehe

For example , EN Swasey katrea has BGMS by Sabesh Murali.

I thing only the way to use the plugin AnalogX vocal remover;It is 
available in www.analogx.com it will support mp3 format more than 
others ;I think ogg is good but if u have ripped ur bgm from DVD the 
ogg file represent multitrack due to that u may face some problems 
when u gooing to remove vocals; and u can use ACID PRO (software)with 
this DX plugin
