[arr] Re: My wish - continued!

2009-09-20 Thread ichord
Ok, so here are some more fantasies of mine:

1) A pure instrumental album only on Piano played by ARR himself...soft
soothing numbers with light strings maybe and some gentle percussion..pure
unplugged ARR on piano playing some new tunes and some old favorites.

2) I want ARR to go wild with a classical songlike a Laaga Chunari Mein
Daag main song then ending with fast taranas, jhala, pure classical crescsendo
with fast playing, fast tablas, etc. etc.

3) Pure meditation or sufi album with ARR's original music, no limits in terms
of how much ARR can pour his heart and soul into thisno restrictions
whatsoever.

4) Western symphony album ala Mozartlots of piano, strings, brass, tympani,
huge orchestra.

Hey, one can always dream, right?? :)

yes i agree totally.

If you have seen the interview that vivek did with rahman during tamil new
years he urges rahman to give another blockbuster album in the cause or
unrest, terrorism and all other problems. I think the kind of impact you have
been wanting can only come through an album, not a film song. Lets see.
Goodspeed.

stay with you. Lot of beautiful melodies too in recent years. But, one
achievement that I want ARR to succeed in again is to create a song
with such a haunting, impactful, touching melody that entire India and
many abroad would tear up, be moved, and would consider that song to be
one of the greatest melodies of Indian film song history. Of course,
the lyrics and singing of that song would need to be equally powerful
as the melody and the music.

One example of this type of song is Maa from Taare Zameen Par (SEL).
Shankar won the national award for it and the song itself was praised
to no end by young and old alike, north, south, east, west. The closest
recently that ARR has come to this recently is Tere Bina from Guru,
Khwaja Mere Khwaja from JA.pan India appreciation and beyond.

I know ARR is capable of this. He just needs the right opportunity in a
film. Who knows, maybe Raavan will be the film

mother-son relationship, and gets me in tears everytime i listen to it...

One of my fav lines in that song:
Ennakedhum aanathenuna unnaku veru pillai undu (if something happens to me
 you have another son)
Unnakethum aanathuna yennaku veru thayirukka? (if something happens to you,

WOWOWOW...this song gets me everytime..and i don't think it has gained enough

How could I forget.Jai Ho was a song recently celebrated globally, really
touching people, but somehow, I don't think people in India itself appreciated
the song as much as others globally, although I could be wrong since I don't
live in India!

I wish that ARR wins for :

 Original Score (of course!)
and for Best Song O Saya

I love this track even before watching the movie, and now after
watching it, I love it more.
O Saya is the song which put the viewer in the mood while watching
the film. It is the first song of the film and before this song you
can nearly ear no sounds in the movie (I mean no music at all).
Powerfull drums with ARR voice, WOW

Again, If this movie has been so successfull is mainly with the
help of the music. No other composer can create such an impact on a
film. This is tremendous quality of innovativ and excellent music.

Sorry for all the mistakes in English, actually I am more fluent in
French and the thing is that I am so excited, happy, joyfull .
that I could not find words to describe things.

Being nominated for Original Score and 2 songs is the thing that
most of us have been dreaming of, only dreams, because I expected at
least 1 song.

Now we can not have better than this, ARR Sir has done the maximum.

I want to tell you another thing also, even in France, at the end
of the film, before Jai Ho song, the viewers stood up in the theatre
for a standing ovation (claps by french people, which is very rare as
they are very difficult on critics for films). I was very very proud,
when I heard french people pronouncing ARR names and when some others
talking about the film music without knowing who was my ARR. I had
tears and palpitations when I heard the music from the beginning to
the end (I knew all the tracks before as I already had the CD),
people were blown up with the sound, something they never heard
before, long live to you ARR.

I hope I can meet ARR in August 2009, because I have bought my
tickets already to come to India after 10 years of absence. I will
stay in Pondicherry, I will defenately visit Chennai for 3 or 4 days.
So I hope I can meet our Boss, he means everything for me, as during
difficult period or very sad personnal situation, his music was the
relief for me, Ii is like I felt his presence arround me, as if he
was saying don't worry brother, I am praying for you. Truly, this
is the feeling I have when I listen to his melodies and when I am
sad, and very oftenly I litterally cry of happiness when I listen to
his music.

These are the last songs which made me cry : Tu muskura, Ghajini
song (3rd one on the CD), Slumdog (Escape, Latika theme) and
Connections (Mann Chandare is brilliant, I was driving to work when I
listenned to it this morning, and I could not stop crying in the car.
You will find it funny, but it is true, at the signal light (stop)
people arround me was looking strangely at me. This is ARR Magic.

I will also visit the North (Agra, Delhi, Jaipur, Udhaipur, etc...)
so if anybody from this group would like to meet me, It will be with
a great pleasure.

 Jai Ho
 Love You ARR,
 Love You INDIA,
