Hi,This is the first time that i'm posting a msg with this group but
i've been a silent member of this group from past 4 years,...
It wud b very cynical if i say that i'm the biggest n ardent fan of
A.R.Rahman coz i see people who are really crazy abt the music of
Rahman.I did see both the sides of criticism in this message board over
Rahman's Music n his decisions which he has taken,...
But,i like one thing in this group,though people who criticize Rahman
or hail him there are always people who backup n there r people who go
against,...This is the best part of this Group(Our Group!!)
Well,...There's a lot to say but i'm sure there will b very annoyed
people going thru my message(if it is lengthy).
I have very little to say abt the recent music creations of Rahman who
happen to b my mentor n my inspiration for my life coz i dont consider
his any creation of music as bad or good.I sincerely feel that Rahman's
music cannot b tagged nor b classified as a particular genre.I always
beleive that Rahman explores his ownself n he always redefines his own
style n creation. I Guess he always tries to make a conscious effort to
give the music lovers something new n something they haven't heard of.
This very instinct of Rahman makes him so special n so successful.
There has been many instances where in many people in this group did
complain n criticized Rahman for his mediocre effort in creating music
but i always felt that the people who did this havent tried to realise
something which is very important,...i.e.,the people behind the reason
for creating that music.I always feel that Rahman goes with the
instincts.He always produces masterpiece whenever he is working with
the people like ManiRatnam or Shankar or RamGopalVarma,coz these
people r used to create things which is different n which makes
sense.so,there's a lot depend upon the people who r involved in
creating something n it directly reflects on the outcome of that unit.
So,there's very lil to debate on the fact that Rahman gives mediocre
creations for some movies coz its quite obvious that the people who
were involved in the unit had no intention of making it good.
I wud like to post one question to this group n i wud expect a very
honest answer from all u guys,Gimme instances of Rahman falling
below expectations of people in regards with the movie,...i mean did
ever Rahman give a bad musical score for a very good movie,How many
instances r there in which a movie is a hit n the music of Rahman has
been a flop??
And coming to the music of Rang De Basanti,...i can only describe this
creation of Rahman as GEM. Music of RDB is awesome n it stays with u
all the time,i mean it doesnt require any time frames nor any moods to
listen to this kinda music,..It's heartening that Rahman has found a
director who understands what a good music is n i will b really glad to
see people like rakesh mehra collaborating with Rahman which inturn
will create something magical from Rahman.
Looking Forward for the replies n also looking forward to post messages
in the group from now on,...
