Re: [arr] Re: Shankar ropes in A R Rahman for Sivaji
I have a friend who works in Sify and it seems most of their movie news is from unreliable sources like gossip mongers. Some are true and some arent. Remember they said few days back that people are forcing Shankar to unite with ARR. Shankar is not someone who bents for market needs. The truth is that they never had bis issues like what was made out in press. All said and done I too hope this news is true :-) .. it will really music to the ears On 9/14/05, karishma_saali <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: well im from malaysia and im no foreigner to the tamil cinema, believe me... plus i listen to ARR's songs from both hindi and tamil and i love them all undividedly, even my family members get puzzledfrom my interest, and ive learnt a great deal of tamil language fromall the movies i watch. but then again yr rite about the songs beingdone wit rajini's image, which doesnt really appeal to me, cos his movies r all sort of similar stuff--- In arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com, "Anand Bharathan" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>wrote:> welcome to the group. hi guys and gals out there, ive a new member of the group and as i've been going thru the postings about ARR composing for rajini are chart toppers, muthu, padayappa and baba... as ive heard them all in malaysia, it really reminded me of the ARRs worst songs poll... not sounding mean or anything, but i feel that rajini and ARR dont make a good combo by default, and thus the songs turn out the way they r. As ive read in one of ARR's interview, Muthu songs we created in a rush and they r just average, hummable yes but not very memorable. As for padayappa only the classical piece minsara kanna is catchy the rest just ok, and Baba, one track inspired from punjabi music, and the rest nothing of the ARR style.
