they don't usually include licensed music / songs from other movies or musicians in the Original Sound Track CD, because then it won't become Original Sound Track CD. you might also remember when the Lord of War OST was released, AR Rahman's Bombay Theme was not included in the CD. some people like Quentin Tarantino are exceptions, as they only use borrowed / licensed music from other movies / composers / pop stars.. etc.. I have yet to watch the movie thus, I really don't know if there were songs composed by other composers. But as far as ARR's compositions are concerned, he not only composed but he produced the soundtracks as well. Perhaps I wasnt very clear about 'lot of songs' - those are many other songs in the movie which are composed by English composers but they released only Rahman's compositions.
