hey friends,
i just listened 2 the "BnB" NO. frm "bnb" yesterday. it
was a nice rap no. but it was too rahmanish. isn' there any other kind
of rap in the world. in bet.25-35 secs, the tune that is played is very
similar to the BGM in bombay ( the scene where manisha is goin in the
bus along with her friend and the hero is waiting for her with an
umbrella)( there is even a vocal to the same tune sung by shankar
himself with kavita ). and if u listen to th "bnb", 2.49 mins onwards,
the dholak that is used is the very same used in the vocals sung by the
aforesaid singers in bombay( when manisha comes to take some books frm
the hero's sister). this is really pathetic!!
actually, many of our composers listen to world music, but they fear to
mix them with indian ragas & other tunes. only when our boss does
that,& it's a hit, they run like rats 2 copy the same.
