I agree with U.
Rahman`s output depends on director`s influnce.
So,he delivers his best with Shankar and Mani.
Especially with Mani ratnam Rahman`s music is great.
I observed that in mani movies Rahman works a lot on
background score also.
Always Rahman delivers the best he can and what the
movie and director needs.

chemistry with him like ash and mani, he would
deliver the inevitable
music. where there's no word left for praise, like
tht happened in
Swades. if the director doesn't have a good
chemistry wit him, we
can't expect his bullshot(k.balachender uses this
word to describe
rahman's music)
