Mani to dub `Guru` in Tamil!
By Moviebuzz | Friday, 24 November , 2006, 11:29
Mani Ratnam has decided to dub his magnum opus Guru in Tamil. Now Abhishek
Bachchan, Mithun Chakravarthy, Aishwarya Rai, Vidya Balan and Mallika Sherawat
will speak in Tamil! Madhavan is also doing a cameo role in the film. The
Hindi version of Guru which was slated for release on Dec 22 is now postponed
to January 12, 2007. So Guru in Tamil, will release simultaneously with its
original Hindi version as a Pongal special.
There is a lot of buzz around the film as it is based on the life and times
of Dhirubhai Ambani and his rise to power as one of the richest man in the
country. The songs by A.R.Rahman have already become a hit.
As far as Tamil dubbing goes Aishwarya Rai has a market here. In Guru there
is wedding scene of Abhishek and Ash shot at a Madurai temple which is drawing
a lot of curiosity. The couple are said to be real life lovers and astrologers
are predicting that they will get married soon.
So is Mani trying to cash in on the romance and make more money for his
Madras Talkies?
