says..hi friends, sorry that i am writing this mail very late! 6 months before, the marathi daily KESARI celebrated its 125 years of service, so they invited ashitosh gowarikar to the show in pune in TILAK SMARAK MANDIR. the main topic was swades!! eventually they asked him about rehman and here are the words what he said, "i am a big fan of him. during lagaan i approached him only because of aamir but then i started knowing him. for rehman, you go on providing as much information of the movie and he goes on delivering the EK SE BADHAKAR EK tunes. but it is your responsibility to give him full idea of the movie, you have to extract his tallent which is hidden. he gives a thought for two to three days and lits up a candle near his keaboard at 5 early in the morning. whatever is played on keaboard is the tune you needed" then ashitosh gowarikar sang YE TARA WOH TARA beautifully!!!
one incident he told was "ghanan ghanan song was complete but we were searching for the start of the song. everybody suggested us the different starts for the song. i asked rehman and he said, ' wait ashu, only one day!!!' then he came up with the start 'ghanan ghanan ghanan ghanan' to have a feeling of rain. and we also felt that clouds are gathered up in the sky." after the show, people gathered around him. i could not meet him personally buti shouted "sir, continue your relationship with rehman" then he replied( i couldnt believe he replied me) "it is there, till i vl b making films" i felt proud. i wanted to share these moments to all you my arr-fan friends!!! sorry for the delay!!
