Well...I honestly dont remember Rahman getting the awardbut if ever he had 
to win it..it should have been for Dil se ...and even Yeh Jo Des Hai tera from 
Swades!! ..these 2 come instantly to my mind...maybe some others.. .

Nope to my understanding he's never won a Best Singer's award. He rarely gets 
nominated too for the same.. And that's an irony as most of the songs he has 
sung has arguably been amongst the best tracks in that particular album. 
Therefore it always has been an irony when he does not get nominated but some1 
else does from the same album!!
Its happened b4.. and its happening again..
